Been wanting a roomba for a long time and got this during Black Friday. Very nice!

Pros; Great product! Beater bars don't clog with hair. Hair is shunted to ends and is easily removed weekly. Powerful over any surface. Voice control is nice. Self empty feature is outstanding! Takes photos of obstacles for review. Cons; No manual included. Confusing set up. App needs to be simplified.

Worst Roomba I've ever owned. I purchased this back in Dec 2021 to replace an older Roomba. The previous Roomba worked great and rarely had issues for the four years we owned it. I thought the newer one would be just as good, but within the first couple of months it would stop right in front of the charging base, or get stuck in areas the previous model never did. I had to reset the Roomba several times (and remap the whole house again). The issues only got worse to the point the Roomba would only make it back to the docking station ever other time it ran. Since I had my mop set to run after, it would repeatedly fail to mop as well. I've reached out to Roomba and they would just keep having me reset the Roomba and start over each time. I spent hours dealing with support that just kept pushing me to do the same things until finally they no longer supported the product. I still have a Roomba that has many more hours and is at least 6 years old that still runs. This newer, more expensive model is absolute junk!

Had to remap the house 4 times….custom maps simply disappear. Request for app upgrade almost every time I use it. If layout is mapped, works fairly well.

It’s ok.. I have to use my phone app to work better in vacuuming the correct area and it’s very loud when emptying..

I thought I kept the house clean, but after a couple of weeks it picked up more dust than what I thought I had. If there’s anything in the way it would send me a photo to tell me to pick it up and to see if it needs to get that area again. One less chore I have to do now.

I have a Neato D7 and Roborock S5 and always believed LiDAR navigation was the way to go. That was until I seen this Roomba J7 with cleanbase. This vacuum is so far advanced beyond anything with LiDAR. I have no pets but with kids often socks and random toys will find their way under beds etc. With this robot I can send it out without checking in under and around every piece of furniture and it will recognize and send pics back for me to review at the end of the cleaning session and I can tell it to learn whether it’s something to avoid or not. Small sample of the things it has sent me pics of are: matchbox car, sock, door bumper, various charge cords, blanket, a quarter. The most common complaint I see about this vac is the self empty base being loud. Yes it’s loud and strong and always gets the bin emptied out. I’m really glad I went with this one and recommend to anyone who has kids.

I am not in love the j7+. I find it hard to program to do separate rooms. I went through a period where it was going in circles and losing it's mind. I finally whacked the bumper hard a few times after already taking it apart to see if something was wrong and after that it worked. If it gets under a kitchen chair it can't find its way out. The program doesn't show that the rooms have been cleaned. I don't know, maybe I need to start over from ground zero. Seems to clean well what it does clean.

Performs very well on carpet and hard flooring even with pet hair. Does not pick up all the pet hair on some area rugs but is acceptable for general cleaning. Maps the house well and quite efficient with its cleaning.

The Robot Roomba j7+ is amazing! I love the fact that you can launch it from anywhere and come home to clean floors. All parts have easy access for cleaning. I love the having the vacuum bag. A necessity if you have a pug.

Works real well with the per hair of our two dogs.

It is louder than I thought it would be, especially when emptying. Also, the battery doesnt last very long. Cleans well.
