This was the replacement for our iRobot-Romba S9+ that stopped working after 5 years. I wanted to return the j7+ it but it was past the Best Buy 15 day return policy. I will replace it with a better robot vacuum from Amazon who allow unquestionable returns within 30 days. Brick and mortar retailers need to adapt or go by the wayside.

Garbage, avoid at all costs

The roomba or irobot or whatever they are calling it now was not very good before amazon bought them. Now it's a complete pile of garbage. From is constantly losing its location to the map losing areas you designate as don't enter to its going over the same spot dozens of times to the refusal to allow access to their api so you can control it more. This product is not worth any where near the outrageous price they ask. Forget and l any improvements, that went away when Amazon bought them. I contacted support numerous times only to have them brush me off when they couldn't fix the issue and had to completely start over on 5 separate occasions wiping all the setup every time.

My wife and I purchased this for Christmas and over the last week or so I think it’s done a great job. We mostly have hardwood floors with area rugs. I was concerned about the thick material of the rugs but it goes right over them with no problems. Definitely worth spending the extra money in my opinion.

This one is much better. Haven’t had any problems with it since we Purchased. We have 1 dog and it does a great job. The only problem is that we have to do 1 room at a time because the dog hair can get balled up really quick. Its worth it to me!

It has mapped out our home and we have assigned different rooms to the map. We can use the app or ask alexa to clean all or particular rooms. Setting up schedules is easy. Having the unit return to the base to empty debris bin is a super plus. Much quieter that the Roomba 761 we purchased 5 years ago.

Its constantly getting stuck. Right out of the box I would get a "sealing issue with the base". Did all the troublesbooting and everything seems OK. still 3 months later getting the same error. Should have returned it the day I got it. I had a Shark robot prior which had some issues, so I thought, lets try Roomba! Surely that will be better, right? Wrong. This is worse. Maybe I just got a lemon, but based on some of the other reviews, this definitely isn't a one off.

The last one I had was so loud I never wanted to vacuum. This one is so quiet I vacuum all the time and the only time it gets loud is for the three seconds it empties into the bin. I love that you can tell it to only do certain rooms.
