Get the improved J Series

We run it when no one is around because the robot is loud and the self cleaning vacuum is even louder. The J model has the improved sensor placement in front of the unit. So i recommend the J series

Good little clean up helper

Quiet when working, LOUD when emptying

When it's done with a cycle or is full in the middle of a cycle it returns to it's base and empties itself, which is LOUD! But that is only for up to 15 seconds based on my timing.

Nothing but issues

Second time running it, it told me the bag was full, which is impossible. My old roomba would go months without the bag getting full. So,I replaced the bag. Now I keep getting a clog error. Reviewing forums out there, it seems like a pretty known problem with this model that is specific to Best Buy, and yet it's still being sold. I would look for another make/model.

Not great quality

It seemed to work fine at first although not great. And that just lasted for about a month. Now it does this thing where it separates from the docking station moves about 2 ft and then goes back to the docking station. The whole unit stays dirty including the docking station. And it doesn't pick up all that great. I do not suggest this product

Upgrade

I also highly recommend the model with the self emptying feature. We have 2 dogs and fill approx. 1 bag a week. It is very loud but only when docking to empty.

Great improvement

The last Roomba I had was pretty awful but everything I've read on this suggests they fixed all those issues (running over cords, random vacuuming instead of straight line, room mapping, etc)

It cleans very well and I like the fact that I do not have to make sure everything is off the floor before it starts~ I would recommend this product to any person!

"Make sure the iRobot is docked and charging"

But it began to stop in the middle of the room during jobs. I am constantly maintining this thing, which is fine, but then it NEVER works anymore. I factory reset the robot and cant even get the house mapped and setup to run jobs again because it refuses to connect to the app and refuses to correctly return to the dock and recharge mid job. The fact that its excuse is my internet is very frustrating - every single other device in my home works without a hitch, and were talking at least 30 devices. The $800 vacuum is the only one that struggles to work as designed.
