Loved it best amazing thing must buy works great ..

The adapter works for what I needed, to connect a DirecTV cable box to an existing computer monitor. One thing that I hadn't considered but this adapter takes care of: audio. The monitor doesn't have a speaker, but this adapter has and audio-out jack for a speaker. Nice, and a feature that some other adapters lack.

The laptop was set up by The Geek Squad, who spent time to determine I understood the updated features. The speed and ability to download engineering items quickly is amazing. Good screen clarity and the thin section make it idea to carry around the house as I work. Great product.

I used this to hook up a home theater receiver to a projector where the VGA cable was was already run in a finished room. The only way to run a new cable would have been to cut holes in the sheetrock since the VGA cable was attached to the framing and couldn't be pulled out.

This adapter serves perfectly for the need I require.

This item stopped working after two days. Best Buy refused to take it back as it was beyond their 15 day return policy. I have spent two weeks answering ridiculous questions via email from j5create's customer service department which were not even remotely connected to a plug and play adapter. After I told them I was using the adaper with a brand new Inspiron 2350 they proceeded to ask me how much RAM it had and what chipset it had. Are you kidding me? They seem determined to deny any responsibility for a defective device. This is the only j5create item I have ever bought. I don't know if their products in general are good or bad, but this one is defective. Based on my experience with their customer support staff, I will not buy their products again. And Best Buy's refusal to take the defective product back unless, they said, I was an Elite member was just insulting.

This item works fine as a video adapter but there is no sound.

I bought a couple of these because they are such good quality compared to others out on the market and the many monitors I have collected over the years.

The VGA on the back of my PC tower didn't work anymore so I asked the Geek Squad some questions about how to resolve the problem. Being incredibly helpful, they pointed me to this product. It worked like a charm! The clarity on the monitor is great now! Thanks Geek Squad and Best Buy!!

old LG monitor is really fuzzy but adapter may have nothing to do with it

I use this cable for work and lost my original so I ran into a Best Buy in Indiana and bought this one. The quality is far better than what I had before and the video conversion is spot on. Other adapters do not convert the video and the image flickers. This one is great.

Does the job but a bit fidgy, it is the second I buy in 6 months

This adapter works well, but it will not work for any Insignia TV.

Tried to connect to an Amazon Fire TV device to a monitor but could not get this to work on the monitor we wanted. It worked on other monitors. Returned. May work for you but it's not 100% compatible even if the connectors fit.

Works as it should. Nothing really more to add about this.

was hooking up apple tv to tv and did not convert properly

The adapter worked fine, but I think it was overpriced.

It does what I need it to do (connecting a 2nd monitor to my laptop). There is a headphone jack on the adapter, though I wouldn't use it. The light on it as well must be for warning users when battery power is getting low to disconnect or switch to AC.

I had to return this adapter because it wouldn't work. I'm not sure why it didn't but I tried and tried and looked at reviews and there seems to be a lot of people who had the same issues. It would act like it connected to my external monitor but really didn't.
