Very Disappointed!

I ordered this yesterday and picked it up today. I was excited to finally hook-up my external monitors to my MacBook Air (2018) and have the ability to mix and match the ports as needed. I plugged it in as it came packaged using the 2 C-USB option with the SD card attached. I then plugged in the HDMI cable for my monitor and the USB for my Logic wireless keyboard and mouse. The HDMI display was perfect, crisp clear, everything you'd want it to be, but I noticed the mouse and keyboard was a bit glitchy. The Logic set is new, and I've only used it once before. Thinking maybe there was something wrong with the set, I unhooked it and hooked-up my older Logic set that I've used a million times and know for sure works. It seemed to work better for a few minutes, but then it started to do the same thing. The mouse would get stuck as I was trying to move around the screen and the keyboard was severely lagging. I was attempting to type in my address for an order I was placing and finally gave up. I decided to test my Logic sets out, thinking again maybe there was an error on that end, or possibly the location of my MacBook and dock were too far away from where I was using the keyboard and mouse (which was less than a foot). I detached the doc and used my USB dongle to hook-up my 1st Logic set. Worked perfectly. I did the same with my 2nd, again, worked perfectly. I even tested the distance by moving my MacBook to the other side of the room, and again, both sets worked fine. Just to be 100% openminded, I reattached the doc and tried to connect the Logic set. Total fail. This time it did not recognize the keyboard or mouse at all. I did try a jump drive to see if the USB ports were faulty, but I had no issue there, it recognized the jump immediately. I returned it less than 2-hours after I picked it up because what's the point of having a doc if I have to use my Mac's keyboard while trying to look at an external display? Definitely confusing for ones senses.

Thank you for sharing this issue with us. It looks like you encountered a phenomenon called radio frequency interference (RFI). This is caused by USB 3.0 devices. The signal from USB 3.0 devices (like docking stations and adapters) can interfere with wireless devices operating within the 2.4GHz band (like wireless keyboards and mice). Some wireless devices operate in the 5GHz band are less likely to be affected by RFI.

This stocking station is great because you only need to connect the extra adapters that you are going to use. This docking station also comes with a case, so you do not lose the extra adapters. If you just need one port the adapters can be plugged into your laptop alone as they do not need the main docking station to function. Thank you for your review.
