This not only gave me the ability to plug in Ethernet but also offered me the ability for extra ports! I would have otherwise had to buy several products instead of the one the service rep recommended! Excellent service.

It was easy to install the drivers, but I don't see a big difference in speed. The only reason I bought this was for speed, so that's why I gave it a three star rating.

speed is me 3.0 usb ports plus ethernet

Figure 3.0 usb is better for speed. Good or bad, it comes with an install dvd so is not plug and play. Don't know...maybe that makes it a good thing since one figures it will interface with Windows right off the bat. NO NOT PLUG THIS INTO THE PC UNTIL YOU INSTALL THE DVD DRIVER. Honest, it even says so in the packet material that comes with the hub :) Have had good success with J5create products thus far.
