    The Geek Squad came up with this adapter to allow two monitors to be hooked up to my laptop. It does the job with no issues. I am ver y pleased with the setup and the Geek Squad !

      Using an adapter that meets your needs is great; when it comes to the device becoming concerningly hot - we recommend exchanging it as that sounds potentially defective. Under normal operating conditions, it is normal for the hub to become warm, but in the case where it is becoming hot to the point where it is harming you; we understand the concern and would love to assist.     Great item! Works perfectly connecting my second monitor to my laptop. Even better customer service. Ordered the wrong item the first time. When they brought this replacement item to our car they took the wrong time in for a return. Greatfull for their customer service!

    this worked right out of the box at 4k i purchased another one from a different vendor and it did not do 4K as advertised and had to get my money refunded. this one is great but only for web and apps not for gaming or video there is a lag but it ok for my second monitor.

    Works as advertised especially since I use two Acer Curved monitors and really the only limitation is the laptop and not this device. I do not see any difference between the HDMI monitor and the monitor using this image translation device since I have only one HDMI included in my current laptop.

    Item connected easily using hdmi cable from tv. Instructions on what to expect after connection were right on. Result was everything I desired. I was able to use my laptop to display info on a non-smart (but hi-def) tv. My class was much more interesting and interested by this enhancement.

    Yep it works like its suppose to. The packaging was difficult to open and wasnt sure which end was the upside end. I took my chances.

    I needed this to be able to display my screen onto a TV from my MacBook that didn’t have an HDMI port. Solved my problem for a fair price and I’ll always have it for future use. Requires a driver download but honestly not a big deal. Clear and easy instructions
