I use the extended desktop option and it works. The reason for 4 and not 5 stars is because there is a bit of lag, especially if my laptop is bogged down with many programs. My laptop does have a 3GB dedicated video card, too, and not many laptops do. I do not game, I am simply working with business type applications, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.

Posted .Thank you for your review on the Dual HDMI Adapter. If you are experiencing poor performance with applications allocated onto the monitor, I recommend that you disable a feature regarded as "hardware acceleration" within the affected programs. Thank you.

I mean, it works good I guess, but sometimes my monitors freeze. I have two monitors and when this happens I have to turn off the screen for one and this is when the other monitor comes alive and the mouse cursor is displayed again. I am not sure if it has to do with the HDMI cables, the monitors itself or them being connected to my MacBook Pro. I am not sure but it can get annoying to turn on and off my monitors frequently.

Posted .For troubleshooting, uninstall and reinstall drivers without the device connected, test with another HDMI cable or another HDMI port. If possible, test with another computer (Mac or Windows). Do an RVRAM and SMC reset.
