More and more laptops are only coming with USB-C ports. This cable is a direct connection so you do not need any extra adapters to make the connection.

That is what this adapter is for; connecting a video capable USB-C port to a HDMI cable. We also have a cable that will directly connect USB-C to HDMI.

I haven't been able to use it yet but it looks like a wonerful adapter. The only reason I'm posting this before I use it is that I'm getting messages that I'll lose my Best Buy points if I wait any longer. That stinks.
