It drops the video signal from time to time, but that only lasts for a few seconds before it comes back. Office workaround solution, so the dropoff doesn't really hurt.

We had an old PC not suitable for much else but perfect for this. Not the right video output to go to the TV, however. This did the trick for a reasonable price.

I have a laptop with only a VGA connection but I need to plug it into an HDMI connection on my projector. This adapter does what it says it does and works great. No problems.

Posted .Obtaining another screen for your laptop is now easy with the JDA214; simply plug in the VGA and USB male ends into the computer, add an HDMI cable to the monitor, TV, projector and done. Went with this option, because it also includes sound. Would give 5 stars, but screws don't really screw into laptop. However, stays put just fine.

Also, the toggle switch on the back is 4 directional and doesn't always work well.

A VGA connection will only carry a video signal, while an HDMI connection will transmit both audio and video. This adapter uses the USB to transfer the audio that the VGA alone cannot. It is good to hear that the adapter is working for you.
