USB Hub unusable on a MacBook Pro

I bought mostly for cord management, and to reduce clutter. Even with the 11/21/19 update from J5, the hub is unusable. Eventually my MacBook Pro crashes. I'm keeping in hopes the driver updates eventually correct the problem, otherwise I have drastically overspent on monitor stand.

Nice looking overpriced monitor stand - no dock.

First - I seriously can't believe that it doesn't come with a power brick for this price - that's a miss. Could not get power through Mac at all. Nor any connectivity. So it's an expensive monitor stand. Huge disappointment with this. May take it back...

Quality Issues Sent it Back!

Upon assembly, found the predrilled holes in the base to be too deep for the screws provided therefore could not be secured. The rubber foot along the bottom edge is a good idea but it was detached in places leaving the base uneven. Too expensive to accept these quality issues...

Caveat! Do not buy!

Not all the ports function. Unfortunately, the docking station is a bit of a rip-off. Wish that I had realized some of the ports weren’t working. The quality of the docking station is POOR. However, the monitor is nice and sturdy. But don’t bother getting this if you expect a fully functional docking station. Get a basic monitor stand at a fraction of the price. Purchase a docking station separately. If you still want to purchase it, I would suggest that you test the docking station first to make sure all the ports work before assembling everything together. Good luck.

In regards to the dock not functioning properly with all the ports, this could be due to a number of different reasons i.e. type of device being connected to the monitor stand and their power requirements, whether or not the JCT425 itself is properly connected to the computer and more. In situations like this, we strongly recommend contacting the support team mentioned on the packaging in order to diagnose the situation, troubleshoot and offer a solution. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused and hope we can still turn things around.

I have so many wires that I wanted this neat stand to hold my laptop and charge a few devices. Unfortunately, the port or docking station attached did not work. At first I thought it was a problem with the one I purchased but I exchanged it for another and still the same issue. I even contacted their tech support but was told I had to get a charging wire to plug into the power in (in which I had).

Posted .This Docking Station Stand requires a computer to support DisplayPort Alt Mode for video out and Power Delivery for pass-through charge over USB-C. A USB-C power brick will only apply if you are using a high-powered USB device. When using a USB-C power adapter, the multi-adapter powers both the adapter (with attached peripherals) and your laptop. The USB-C power-in port supports up to 100W. What a let down

Then the included usb-c cable broke. I used another USB- c cable that I had purchased just in case. Didn’t work. Tried another... nothing. Called the manufacturer and they offered to send me another cable. If you need one of their cables then your going to be waiting on replacements often. Pass on this and just get a plain hub.
