I needed this for a vacation road trip (my wife's car doesn't have an input) so that we could listen to some of my favorite iheartradio talk radio shows. Worked fine, but my GPS unit kept running out of juice since we only have one car-lighter slot. It would have been a better product if it had a USB charger so you could charge your phone and or GPS while on the road.

Needed to listen to my ipod

GREAT ITEM FOR THE PRICE

AFTER TALKING WITH THE ASSOCIATE ON THE FLOOR I DECIDED TO PURCHASE, AND AM I GLAD I DID. THIS REALLY WORKS AND YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BUY BATTERIES. IT PLUGS INTO YOUR 12V SOCKET AND PLAYS ALL DAY. I TRAVEL 800+ MILES A WEEK SO IHEART AND PANDORA ARE MY COMPANIONS IN THE CAR. GREAT TRANSMITTER!
