Q: How does the music from my phone get transmitted through my car speakers
A: You plug the device into your cigarette lighter and then you plug the cord into your phone, iPod or mp3 players headphone jack. Then the device has 3 fm stations to choose from and you turn your car radio on to whichever of the 3 fm stations you choose, and then u can hear whatever music your playing on your phone thru your cars speakers.
Q: Does this product have an auto scanner? And does it work well with the scanner if it has one?
A: The JamKast FM does have an auto scanning that gives you possible stations to select from to broadcast the signal to broadcast to your FM radio. It works well. Keep in mind that broadcasting FM transmitters are regulated by the FCC for signal strength and depending on the placement of your vehicle's AM/FM antenna and how many radio towers are in close proximity to your location all play a role in how well this type of solution will work for your application.
Q: Will this also charge your device?
A: No but it has a place to plug in the cord to charge your phone.
A: The JamKast plays any audio that is transmitted through the headphone jack output. Simply plug in the 3.5 mm jack to the headphone connection, turn on the JamKast, tune your radio to the displayed JamKast station and turn an app on through your phone to hear audio through the radio.
