You plug the device into your cigarette lighter and then you plug the cord into your phone, iPod or mp3 players headphone jack. Then the device has 3 fm stations to choose from and you turn your car radio on to whichever of the 3 fm stations you choose, and then u can hear whatever music your playing on your phone thru your cars speakers.
