Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the UP MOVE Activity Tracker's sleep and step tracking, ease of use, and long battery life. Many appreciate its small size and accurate readings, along with the affordable price and helpful app. However, some customers have experienced issues with the clip detaching from clothing and syncing problems with their phones. A few also noted that it lacks waterproofing.

The jawbone didn't work. I tried three batteries with it and it never worked.

    Great value for the price

I bought this specifically because it doesn't require you to wear it on your wrist. I stopped wearing a watch over 15 years ago and have no intention of ever going back. I've only had it for a day, but so far I am loving it. The app has a bidirectional link with MyFitnessPal, which I already used to track my food consumption, so this was a perfect fit for me. It clips onto clothing very securely and I don't see how it could possibly come off. It actually requires some effort to unclip it from my pants pocket.

    Box is wrong

I bought the "move" after going to the store knowing I wanted a Jawbone Up. Fitbits were next to it so I started to look at everything and compare. I ran up on the Move and read the box and noticed it did everything I wanted according to the box and much cheaper. I buy. I get home. What do you know? That box is inaccurate, this literally has no bells and whistles. Idle alarm - nope. There is no vibrate, no nothing. It'll track your steps and sleep. I could've bought a $15 pedometer from Kmart if I wanted to only track my steps and my sleep, I know how much I sleep everynight. I am so disappointed.

info on how long battery lasts

I bought this the first week in Feb and it's now the second week in May and I've had to get a new battery. I thought new users might want to know this because I really thought my tracker was broken and called customer service (who were wonderful) but when their "fix" didn't fix it I thought maybe the easiest fix should be considered and I put a new battery in it and it's fine. I wish it had some way to tell you either on the unit itself or on the phone app that you need to replace your battery because I honestly thought it was completely broken!

Bought this as a gift and my mom loved it! Tracks great, she just wanted it to have a wrist strap for sleeping, which is hard to find.

    Excellent Product

I've had my Up Move for a year now and am very happy with it. It stays clipped to my belt most of the time. I ride a stationary bike at the gym and clip it to my sock and it records the activity with no problem. It prompts me after a workout or a walk so I don't bother putting it in workout mode anymore. I bought the wrist bands to wear at night but I must move my arms a lot since it showed I was awake most of the night. Now i clip it to my shorts and everything records with no problem. The only time I had trouble synching with my phone is when I changed the battery. After a couple of attempts to get it re-paired again, it's working fine now.

    Perfect Fit

This is the perfect step tracker. It is more accurate than the ones worn on the wrist as it tracks each time you take an actual step if worn on your shoe. I absolutely love using it.

Was looking for an inexpensive tracker. It's far exceeded my expectations. Works perfectly with the Jawbone app.

    Not worth the money

My wife bought me the upMove as a Christmas gift to replace the mechanical pedometer I was using. First of all if all you want is a pedometer then this is not the product for you. The sleep monitoring garbage is useless if all you want to do is monitor steps. I spent 4 days trying to find a redeeming feature and found none so we returned it. First of all it was inconsistant sometimes it would register less steps then my old mechanical pedometer, sometimes the same and sometimes more. Secondly if you are trying to monitor your daily steps it is useless unless you log into the app that you have to download to your cell phone and finally 75% of the time when I did try to log into the app to see my progress the app froze and wouldn't connect or do anythign for that matter. I don't blame BestBuy since Jawbone is a reputible company but I do blame Jawbone for putting out a somehitn like this and having the nerve to charge $50 for it. I wouldn't give you $5 for it. We returned it the Sunday after Christmas.

    Too little, Too late

Device was good but in serious need of an update. You still have to manually put the system onto sleep mode, a feature that most of its competitors already offer. Go with the Up2, you won't lose it as often.
