I bought this for my wife after she lost the first one. Unfortunately, she lost this one too. That's the only knock on it--it's small, and if you don't clip it to something securely, it can easily be lost. It measured her activity and sleep well. I think it worked every bit as well as the Fitbit she now uses. She is not a very tech-savvy person but had no problem syncing with the phone app.

It works exactly like its suppose to. And the price was just right.

Wish there were more information and instructions that came in the box. Got it for my dad who is not super computer savy and needed more instructions than given.

Set up took a couple of tries with my device. However once paired worked great. I don't use the bands so I have dropped it a few times from my clothing.

The Jawbone UP is a compact, low profile, activity tracker for just about any user. Good choice for the novice just trying to be more active, to the performance athlete preparing for competition. I am using the Up with the provided clip, normally just dropping it into a pocket, clipping to a belt loop, or hooking to the inside of a waist band. I can attest that the Up can survive the washing machine at least 3 times and keep working. I have learned to stop washing it. Great for beginner step counters or for logging physical activity from casual to intense. The Jawbone UP App for smart phones is easy to use, connects immediately with your UP, and offers the full range of activity and lifestyle tracking any user could want.

The up move was very convenient and could be worn as a clip on or a watch and could be color coordinated. It worked well...when it worked, unfortunately, my stopped working after 2 weeks. It no longer syncs to my phone regardless of the different fixes I was given by jawbone support. It could just be my unit. But I am definitely disappointed that it stopped working.

With kids using the thing all the time and dogs around, glad to have something that's "chewable" and "drop-able" with out being breakable.

I got this primarily to track how I am sleeping, but I find that it has got me up moving and exercising more. I like the personalized feedback and challenges. What a great idea! I don't know how it compares with the other devices, but at less than $50, it suits my needs very nicely. It occasionally has trouble linking up with my phone and I have to monkey with it to get it to do so. but it does so eventually, so all is good. And yes, I find that I am not sleeping well, but have been able to implement some strategies to improve that too. It is interesting how it can tell when I am sleeping deeply or lightly, and when I wake up (4-6 times a night with hot flashes-drat it). But I like knowing where I am with things. I am less stressed about not sleeping well. Knowledge is power!

Fitbit likes to count every move your arm makes as a step, I hated that. You can clip this to your belt loop and get a much more accurate count. Plus the sleep tracker is awesome!!
