Very Disappointed In The Jawbone Company

I really wanted this fitness band to work out. I love the design, color, fit, the up app is amazing with a lot of detail information but it is not accurate on anything. The sleep is off, it says I went to bed 2 hours after I did and will say I just got up even after I have already taken my son to school. The steps are off infact I would count my steps and compare it one time it actually took 47 steps away from me. Riding in the car approx 10 minutes away said I had taken over 140 steps. I loved so much about the band and app itself I tried to contact the company. I have sent 2 emails and called twice. Pointless, no response to the emails, the 1st guy I spoke with couldn't help and said he had to turn it over to someone else and I would get a call back which has not happened. I called back but the guy I spoke with said he could not help me or answer any questions bc the case has been turned over. Very disappointing and will return this.

This is my third Jawbone UP band. Really like this color and band looks more like a piece of jewelry than a device. Great tracker. Love the sleep tracking feature too.

    band broke

I have given several UP 24s as gifts (and used one of my own until I bought an Apple Watch). All had intermittant idiosyncrasies and glitches, but generally did their job, collecting motion data day or night (I bought mine to give me a wakeup nudge in the morning). The UP2 (redesigned version) seemed to follow a similar pattern. Despite this, my girlfriend loved it until, after less than three months, the band snapped (near the capsule that contains the electronics). This seems to be a common problem. It snapped at night (may also be common). It's still wearable, but just barely (waiting for the other band to snap). I will call Jawbone support. Perhaps they'll replace it under warranty. I am no longer sure this product is worth the fiddle factor.

    Thrilled with the jawbone2

I purchased the tracker about a month ago during a good sale. It was fairly easy to set up and so far I've been very happy with it. The band stays on so well it is hard to get off. I got the one that looks a bit like a spaghetti strap and the clip really holds. Even though I don't sleep with any jewelry on this is so lightweight I forget it is there and it tracks my sleep patterns. It doesn't track cycling but most units don't. I manually enter the time I've spent on my bike. I've had several people ask me where to get this including my doctor that commented on what a nice size it is. I like the feature that wakes me up with a gentle buzz on my wrist when I'm in a light sleep stage so that its not such a jolt to wake up. I like the friend challenge feature and my daughters will all be getting one of these so we can challenge each other in our fitness goals. Pros good clasp to keep it on Lightweight Attractive sleep and movement tracking Works as a sort of coach to prod you when you need more steps Con's Doesn't track cycling Don't like the food diary system (but grateful it has one I'd very glad I made this purchase, I'll check in next year to see if I met my goals and how it held up

Love the look & app but falls off CONSTANTLY

I loved everything about the look and size of this activity tracker. The app is also very user friendly and intuitive. My problem is that it was constantly falling off my wrist no matter how much I adjusted it. Another family member had the same issue with theirs too. We both had one too many episodes of playing "hide & seek" with our trackers and we both ended up returning them.

I like the feature that buzzes when you're not moving. The app showing your progress is nice too. If you're looking for something basic and easy to use, this is a great fitness tracker.

    Band ripped after 1 month

I really enjoyed my Jawbone Up 2 but the band ripped after wearing for a little over a month. The main purpose for it was to track my sleep. Felt that I took very good care of it. Contacted Jawbone Support and they sent me a replacement that has the solid band which I am happy with after the loop tearing for no reason.

I have tried the Misfit Flash, Misfit Shine, Fitbit Flex the 1st Gen. Jawbone Up and even the Jawbone Up 3 and this is still my favorite tracker because of the comfortable fit, long battery life as well as the best app.

Features are great, but the missing screen with time display really does make this a lackluster device. If you're looking for a strictly data monitoring device that's fine, but a small time display would be nice.

    Great when it works

I had one of these that worked for 6 months then couldn't sync. Loved the app, found the sleep record and step counts very accurate. Liked the alarms and various goal setting options. Got another for my daughter and one for me a month ago. Hers stopped holding a charge after 3 weeks. Went to replace it with the replacement warranty and found that BB will no longer be carrying products by Jawbone (it was bought out). They had none on display and one in the back. Wouldn't give us the one in the back because it was a different color (and said it was $30 more than listed on this website). Would only credit us the sale price for the one we had against another brand, not the replacement price, so had to order the same color from the website (which showed up at the store as $85 not $69) and have it shipped--another two weeks to wait when they could have solved the problem for us tonight with a product already on clearance. Not happy.

    Not Worth the Money

I am really disappointed with this tracker. I read many reviews before I purchased it and it seemed to be okay for a fitness tracker (nothing seems to be perfect). However, I have had this tracker for about two months and have already had it replaced and the second tracker is having the same issues as the first. It won't stay charged for a complete day, even though it has an expectancy of 10 days. Customer service says I need a firmware update, however the communication between the tracker and the app is failing. I have been impressed with the customer service willingness to help, however would prefer if my tracker worked with no issues.

Band broke in less than 4 months

To be fair, I did like my Jawbone UP2 tracker. It is lightweight, and not bulky, but that may be where its' downfall is. The band broke after less than 4 months of use. During that time I did have it fall off once inadvertently, and had the app tell me that I needed to recharge it even though I had just recharged it overnight. I ended up having to re-add my tracker, then the app worked fine again. Overall, I liked it, but since I can't just replace the band it was very expensive for just 4 months use.

Good band for someone who is thrown off from the sporty looking offerings out there. Still requires you to sync with your phone to view information and analytics. Great price at bestbuy.

Great tracker for sleeping, not so much for steps

I really like this tracker for keeping track of my sleep. The Jawbone app is really good about showing your light sleep, heavy sleep and how many times you woke up during the night. Tracking the amount of steps that you take is another story. Every time I move my arm is tracked as a step taken. I end up taking 50 to 75% more steps per day than the actual amount. So again, this is a great item for tracking your sleep but no so much for tracking your steps.

    Good product. Bad Battery Life.

I've had my Jawbone UP 2 for approx. 3 weeks now. So far I am enjoying it. I think I would like some of the functions of the higher priced models, but for the price, this one was tough to beat. Only significant complaint is the battery life. It projects the battery will last approx. 10 days on a full charge, but it seems as if it can make 3-5, at best. Not a major issue, but can be an inconvenience when you're trying to stay active and also want to wear it at night to track your sleep.

Love this tracker as does my daughter! She fell in love with the color and had lost her Fitbit. She uses this all the time I frequently change to my Fitbit to this one. I like it because it's smaller than my charge. Great item!!
