This product is good on first purchase. But I had to go back to replace it because of a glitch it had. I do however like the sleek look and th adjustability of the product itself.

I purchased this in Jan this year and the band already broke. Generally like the device but broken band makes it useless. I contacted the customer service. Let's see how they respond.

The newest version of jawbone is no where near as good as the older version, example the way you strap it on is a total pain to hook it on

    When the syncing fail

When the syncing feature fails it takes ALL THE KINGS MEN TO PUT IT BACK TOGETHER AGAIN. I spent hours re-syncing the bracelet, it lasted a week and wanted to be re-synced. I don't have time to do this ever week or so. The customer service people were somewhat helpful, however telling me that I need second phone to follow along with the instructions that you wanted executed... it is NOT helpful. I found my solutions on YouTube. Sadly, YouTube was more helpful than calling the customer service folks.. No longer using UP2,

This version kept coming undone. It fell off my wrist at the Airport and I didn't even know it. I had the Up but it kept falling apart.

I love that it automatically monitors your sleep at night. It is very comfortable to wear. I really like the mobile app that it syncs to. I bought this because it is one of four brands that syncs with the Weight Watchers app. Glad I did!

I got this as an upgrade to my Fitbit Flex and it was more like a downgrade. I only wore the product for a day. It did not track any of my steps and it wouldn't sync.

Works fine - Band is terrible

Bought 2 of these last year. Not bad starter trackers but the bands are horrible. My wife's would never quite fit right and mine was okay for the first few months but eventually got to the point it kept falling off. When wearing all the time, it is far too easy to lose and I'm not a fan of throwing money away. If I had to do it all over again, I would have paid a little more for a better one.

Good only if you are fitness fanatic and even then it's useless because very inaccurate. Alarm? Event reminder? Good only if you have serious memory loss....

I really like this new Jawbone. I had the old version and then changed to the Fitbit for a little while. This new model charges faster and offers more of what I'm looking to track in an easy to understand format.

My only complaint is that it un hooks at times so I have to be careful I don't lose it, otherwise I would've give it a better score!

Great if you want something inexpensive however the clip doesn't stay on your arm, kept coming off. Lost mine within a a few weeks.

I have had two different styles of the Jawbone Up and both stopped working in less than 6 months. I am not impressed with Jawbone.

I've had an up band since 2009. The product has improved greatly and works well. Customer service was always excellent. (I've not used them for this band) love the instant app sync!

    Handy intro to fitness

The magic of this inexpensive fitness device lies in the smartphone app. The UP2 app calculates and displays three data categories in numerous ways. Many of the instructions will come by email. The bracelet is the transmitter, rechargeable only via USB. The band is nearly mute; look in the downloadable app. A lot of battery can be saved if you don't leave Bluetooth syncing turned on in your phone (the bracelet will remember its data for many hours). The band latch is not reliable. 1. SLEEP time and depth is automatically recorded, if the bracelet has charge (lasts about a week). Pretty good tracker, shows awake and two levels of sleep. You may need to adjust start and wake time if you know better. 2. STEPS are the currency of your activities, recorded by the bracelet. Steps are the focus of social media. which can be set up competitively. Easy to fake out by shaking. You can also specify the nature, time, and intensity of your activities to increase your allowed calories. 3. FOOD is measured primarily in calories. You have to pick your foods yourself, For the calories you eat and burn, you pick from an extensive, scrolling, and searchable database of restaurant and supermarket chains and package brands; or aided by bar codes or selected restaurant menus. Can add pics. The app forms a favorites list to speed future selections. Enter your scratch entrees as Custom Foods, adjusting their nutritional content. Serving size is scalable, but the measures are sometimes weird and wonderful, so I scale by the calorie count--although that can throw the non-adjustable sugar and salt amounts way off. Increasing your Steps increases your calories allowed. In the app you can set goals for Steps, Sleep time, and Weight, along with alarms, idle alert, reminders, and a stopwatch activated from the bracelet. Doesn't use much memory. Switch off cellular and location if desired. Each day starts with some helpful comments and encouraging observations from Smart Coach. Nothing snarky. Notifications and bar charts track your progress. Results depend on your honesty, but also take them with a grain of salt. The Jawbone UP2 is a fun and easy introduction to fitness devices, as long as you don't need to track your heart directly.

I wanted something to record my steps/sleep/activity but didn't want anything with a screen or too bulky. This was on sale and works perfectly for my needs.

It works well and I'd recommend the rope version of this app instead of the clap version. Look up YouTube for anything you need to know about the app.

Good entry level tracker. It does what it was made to do. Other products have more advanced features.
