Great looking fitness band with excellent software

My wife has enjoyed her Jawbone fitness tracker, so I thought I would join in. She has the updated band with 4 strands. I decided on this older style as it seemed more functional. Setup and interaction with it is great and their software is outstanding! The combination of slim size, sleep tracking and buzz alarm are exactly what I wanted. However, the buckle is really tough to get used to and I have had the band fall off my wrist a number of times. Luckily, it hasn't gone far or gotten damaged. I'm hoping I can get used to the buckle, but in the meantime I'm only giving it 4 stars.

So much better than the UP24

I had the original UP band that you needed to plug in to the phone to sync which was most annoying. I moved on to the UP Move which I loved, but fell off my clothes and is lost forever. So I decided to purchase the UP2. I decided on this rather than the UP3 because I don't need the heart rate monitor and the UP2 does everything the same for $80 less! It is incredibly comfortable since it is adjustable. The original UP was too small in the small ( my wrist felt strangled) and too big in the medium. I love the app which has kept me with Jawbone. It's accurate and fun!

Nice look, sleep set function a bit annoying

I had bought my wife the Jawbone Up24 and she liked it, but it had an issue and she had to return it. Jawbone sent a new one to her, but she preferred one more stylish so we bought this one. She loves the look and there have been no issues. The only downside is that it seems somewhat extreme how hard you have to push (she basically has to pound) the band twice to let it know she's getting ready to sleep. I understand that Jawbone doesn't want you accidentally triggering the sleep function, but she'll spend 30-45 seconds slapping her wrist really hard to get the sleep set function to activate. Exactly what you want to be doing before you are winding down and trying to fall asleep.

Was looking for an activity tracker that could track everything so i would know how I did throughout my day. This fit the bill because it's Clean and squared off. The battery lasts a few days so I'm happy it doesn't need to charge every night

I moved up from the old jawbone to the jawbone 2. I love it. It is so nice to connect by wifi. The software has increased functionality. My only comment would be that the clasp it difficult to work and if not done correctly it can fall off.

    High Expectations

I had high expectations for the Jawbone up2. Jawbone typically makes good products. My dislikes of this product are the clasp and the responsiness of the band itself when you want to change modes. With the clasp, I'm concerned the band will fall off without warning. Also, the button on the band is very hit and miss. If I had to guess it works 40% of the time and you have to use the app to change to the stopwatch mode. I really enjoy the Jawbone app; however, the band itself doesn't meet my expectations for $100.

I've owned every Jawbone Up made to date and this is the most comfortable. I did have a problem with the clasp slipping in two ways. The first way needed readjustment and the second way it fell off. Since it's so light, I almost lost it.

I like that the band is adjustable. The set up was easy and the battery life is very good. This band is just right for me. Not too complicated, serves as a motivational tool. Great for daily life but perhaps not for serious athletes.

After the update on the firmware, this is very sleep tracker. Holds longer battery life. It takes a bit of time to get it on your hands unlike UP2, but performs fairly better.

    Durability issues...

This is my third generation of UP products. I had the original, UP24 and now the UP2. This one by far is the best model when it comes to performance. Accurate, holds charge and looks great. The biggest issue is the durability. Purchased roughly 3 months ago and the band is split and about to break. Thankfully Jawbone and Best Buy are awesome at exchanging these devices! Would highly recommend but absolutely buy the 2 year warranty for $20. You're gonna need it!!!

Got for my girlfriend's birthday and she loves it. The tracker is very accurate, even tracks when you go to sleep and wake up, the companion app is top notch as well.

I really enjoyed my Jawbone UP2 until I lost it. It syncs relatively easy with my phone, but does have issues when it has been separated for extended periods (I can't wear my UP2 into work so I leave it at home). The clasp holding it on my wrist is easy to connect, but it does disengage regularly, which is why I have lost it. Don't wear this while doing yard work.

This is my second UP2. The first one I lost while playing golf. Took less than one week to lose it. The latch failed and I didn't know it was off until it was long gone. I decided to give it another try but added a cheap O ring to keep the latch in place. With the band secured, it has turned out to be a great tool. By the way, it appears Jawbone has modified the bands on newer models. I haven't tried one so I can't testify on the effectiveness of their modifications. However, I will say the older bands, like the one I have, have a more unisex look, IMHO. In addition, I appreciate the software change that allows the band to enter and exit sleep mode without having to double tap on the band. Great improvement!

I previously had the regular UP band. I had to buy a new one when that died out and the next one available was this UP2. The design is must sleeker and the blue tooth factor is nice. However, the tapping to change modes does not always work and sometimes I will have to tap a dozen times before I get a response. It also tend to unlatch from my wrist quiet often.

I did a lot of comparisons with different activity trackers. I was originally going to go with the Up3 with a heart monitor, but after extensive reviews i found that it CURRENTLY only tracks your heart rate once or twice a day. I wasn't willing to spend the extra $80+tax($179.99 vs. $99.99) and I am very happy with the Up2. The app(which you get with any Jawbone product), as almost every review mentions, is the best in the business. it pairs perfectly with my iPhone 6!

Bluethooth syncing is fast and reliable, and battery life is quite good. The clasp is a little confusing at first, but you'll get the hang of it quickly.
