Customers are saying

Customers express satisfaction with the UP24 Wristband's sleep tracking, ease of use, and accurate step tracking capabilities. Many also appreciate the long battery life and lightweight design, finding the device comfortable to wear. However, some users reported issues with the fit, water resistance, and occasional syncing problems. A lack of a heart rate monitor was also a common point of feedback.

    Very Happy so far!

My wife got me this for my birthday and I have been very happy with it. Had no problem syncing to my iphone 5c and pretty sure its been over a week and I still haven't needed to re-charge it yet. My wife watched on as I used the UP24 but still decided on the new Fitbit Force for herself. Well after less then 24 hours she is already boxing it back up to go and get the UP24 as well. The barcode scanner is super handy for food logging and the sleep tracker is great and contains a little more info then the fitbit. Hers would only log restless and sleep, the UP24 also logs deep sleep. I also like how easy it is to take it off and on since there isn't a clasp or buckle to do. Definitely a great product!

Poor Quality and VERY Poor Customer Service

Bought this band along with 3 co-workers for a Company fitness challenge. Started working out well for all 4 of us. Bluetooth sync was adequate for everything we needed. We were also able to watch each others progress, which brought more competition to the challenge, as well as more jabs at each other. After about 45 days a couple of us started having sync problems with the bands to the smartphone software. Worked through issues with band resets, both soft resets and hard resets. Over the next 30 days more issues started affecting all 4 bands at different times. Lost sync and had to completely remove software from phone and then reinstall. The problems became more frequent. After 90 days 3 of the 4 bands were non-functioning. One of the bands connector to the USB charger started going back into the band and the day/sleep button connection broke. My band and another band quit charging and was no longer recognized by our laptops. The one band that is still functioning continues to have ongoing problems. So far, not a ringing endorsement for the quality of the band. Jawbone could have kept 3 customers happy, but that was not the case. Their solution was to make you wait 8 weeks for a replacement or give you a $50.00 Up move clip unit and a $50.00 voucher for another Jawbone product. Keep in mind, that these units were $129.99. There new UP2 is currently available and is $99.99 and we all said we would be willing to take that one and not worry about the extra $30.00. Jawbone said they could not do that. If you also notice, they have completely redesigned their band, so obviously there were problems with this band design. I am also not sure where they may get a replacement UP24 since they have been discontinued. I would stay away from this product and be very careful in deciding to buy a Jawbone product.

    Great device, very accurate

It is a great device. I am really amazed by the accuracy of the measurements. The sleep monitor breaks down the light and deep sleep accurately. Steps can be calibrated to make the measurements more accurate. I really liked it so much that I bought another one for my wife and she is equally happy. The only complaint I have is that the bluetooth connection can be inconsistent. Doesn't happen always but often enough to be noticeable. it does sync up eventually though. I have noticed this with both bands I own. I have nothing to compare this device as I haven't used any other fitness monitors but for what it does seems to be an excellent value for money. Overall an excellent device.

    Unreliable tracker

I bought 2 of these back in July, 2015, one for me and one for my walking buddy . By January,2016 my tracker died 2 times and was replaced. The first time was immediately after purchase so Best Buy replaced it and the second time was 3 months later and Jawbone replaced it. Now it won't track my steps -- only my sleep -- so it is pretty useless. I have been fighting with it for a month now and Jawbone has been zero help. So, on January 26 I called the Geek Squad 800 number. I bought Geek Squad protection plans with each of the two trackers and I want Best Buy to refund my money for the trackers. It didn't happen so I have been on the phone today for about an hour with various Geek Squad members, a level one service person, and finally a supervisor. She says they have refunded my money this time. We will see. My best advice is to stay away from Jawbone products and avoid the headaches.

I ordered 2 wristbands for my parents and had them shipped to their house. The estimated delivery date was 4/21, and they received them 4/14! They are extremely happy with the wriistbands!

Bought this just out of college, looking to track my health in a single platform and become a bit healthier. THe jawbone has been a great addition and the app is incredibly powerful. I needed to make some exchanges with it though, as the product quality was lacking and noticed product failures or breaks occurring. Wasn't the greatest experience overall but it got the job done!

Great for Sleep, Not Good for Short Bursts of Step

I purchased this unit at my local Best Buy on Black Friday, before they were even on display. I had done some research and my expectations were high. Earlier in the year, my clip-on FitBit was lost while mowing the lawn and never found. I enjoyed the data it provided about my level of fitness, and wanted to replace it with a more sophisticated device that I was less likely to lose. The Jawbone UP24 looked like a great contender. It was stylish, the iOS app is very well done, and I've had good experience with Jawbone products in the past. I charged the device when I got home, and wore it to bed the first night, and was impressed with the metrics collected on sleep. Efficiency, light vs. deep sleep, time to fall asleep, number of times I woke, etc... I noticed problems the very next day. I admittedly lead a sedentary lifestyle, which is why I need to pay attention to my activity level. I work from a home office, and it is quite easy to go the whole day without getting a walk in. But I noticed that when I would walk around the house, it didn't log any steps. I was concerned, and tried walking under all kinds of scenarios and found the following: -It works more reliably when outside -I would pace 20-30 steps inside with few logged on the band -I would force updates thinking the steps would be added next update -Walking with your hand immobilized would result in no steps counted (hand in pocket or on shopping cart) I contacted support about my issue and they recommended calibrating. This had a significant impact when walking for any significant amount of time. i.e. if I got on the treadmill, it was very accurate. I still had the issue where small numbers of steps would not be counted, and followed up with support again. They offered to replace the band, but I’m not sure the one I have is defective… I believe it may be a function of the design and sensors that are used. I purchased the FitBit Force, and have been very happy with it. It doesn’t have the same issue with small numbers of steps, and I’ve been very happy with it.

Aarggh this thing is so frustrating

I'll start with the positive...It's a nice band and works well (when it actually decides to work.) In addition, Jawbone's customer service is good. But...since buying this thing less than one year ago (after Thanksgiving 2014,) it has been replaced 3 times! 1st time: battery wouldn't hold a charge so I was sent a new one; 2nd time: battery wouldn't hold a charge so I was another new one; 3rd time: product was no longer available through Jawbone so they sent me the new UP2 which doesn't stay on my wrist. The clasp comes undone quite easily. Still according to Jawbone the UP2 is an upgrade from the UP24 even though it retails for less than the $129 I originally paid for the UP24. Go figure. My recommendation: stay away from Jawbone products.

I got this item on sale, and I regret my purchase. It was great for about two weeks, then it's been nothing but problems ever since. It will not sync or update!

Poor Battery and very bulky. Wanted to return the product... but jawbone was ready to upgrade to the new UP2 and unfortunately had to get the up2 replaced twice so far as one was not working and other one had a poor battery . Now with the third hope this last long

    Moving on to FitBit

Tried this band for a little over a year. Have had many problems including the application software that quit working for 3 months. It finally quite doing anything and JawBone can only offer a discount for buying another one. Associates have been trying to convince me for months to make the move to FitBit. I guess it's time to do just that.
