    There is no audio setting to adjust the treble mid range in the quick start manual contacted jBl for support no answer yet bass setting when set does not stay at setting could be a defective unit

    Bad IR Sensor

    The remote and my tv universal remote are terrible with this speaker. The infrared sensor must be so bad because I have to close one eye and aim directly at where the LCD display is located on the unit to turn the volume up or down. It doesn’t matter how close I am. I haven’t seen other complaints like mine so I doubt the reviews are even real.

    I bought the JBL 5.1 sound bar. It has great quality when it’s working properly. I’m super disappointed when it started switching audio sources on its own after 30 minutes of watching a movie, and after the first occurrence it was every 3-5 minutes that it would go quiet for 3 seconds and come right back on. I have my Xbox series x hdmi running in to the sound bar and a fishhook 4K hdmi running out to my projector. Sound quality is great but I don’t know how to fix it. So far only happens with movies. Super disappointed in this purchase..

    The sound quality is ok but not great. A little disappointing for the price and JBL. The remote receiver is not sensitive enough and requires sometimes numerous attempts for the unit to respond. If you are looking for a lot of bass look elsewhere.

    I purchased this based on the review of a best buy employee, but then I went into the store again and found a LG bar that sounded way better and was half off and cheaper than this one. So I returned this one.

    I love the sound bar but, the technician forgot to leave the remote control for it and I can’t seem to get anyone to help me.

    Sound quality is good, a real challenge with having audio to video sync via HDMI ACR and Optical.

    BLUETOOTH issue

    the number one thing that bothers us the most is it ALWAYS cuts off when using the bluetooth. SOOOOOO annoying. Takes more time to turn off/on a few times to get it to work again. Why is this happening to a brand new unit?

    Don't buy if you use Apple TV

    Sound quality is reasonable, but if you are planning to use it with Apple TV be aware that HDMI keeps dropping connection. I am using eARC and use Apple TV remote to control sounder, TV and Apple TV, with this setup sound bar keeps switching between HDMI and TV for apparently no reason. This makes the screen go blank at random. I tried to reset the bar to factory change HDBI cable, tried using it with another TV but the issue persists.

    Didn’t think the sound quality was all that great for the price. Returned it and went with a different brand that was less expensive and I love it!

    I expected a lot more I have a 3.1 ultra HD sounds great returned the 5.1 bought a 5.1 HD ultra the 5.1 HD ultra is superior to the 5.1

    Not the best cuts out often could be our wifi but we moved the base closer to the bar and still cuts out

    For the amount that this costs, it shouldn't have and audible click every 10-15 seconds. We aren't the only ones it's happening to, it's a standard online review.

    I have the jbl 3.1 sound bar currently and love it so when I saw this one on sale for $299 I drove my jet pack to the store to get it. I’m like if the 3.1 rocks the 5.1 should blow me away right? WRONG!!!!! This thing was literally hooked up and back in the box within minutes. Where to start. 1: The remote has now settings for any sound control like the 3.1 did. I mean no settings for music, standard, sports, movie and so forth. You get none of those. As for the settings for the bass. You get low, medium and high. Not 1-30 like the 3.1. 2: the sound. Since you can’t adjust any sound settings it seems flat. The vocals seemed fake like sounding like the speakers were in a tin can. Also since he can’t really adjust the base the base was kind of lacking and seemed unrealistic. So as I say if it’s not broke don’t fix it I’ll keep my JBL 3.1 since it works and has better customization over the settings and sound Hope this review helps because others didn’t

    If you're looking for an entry-level system for your this is a great start but if you're looking for sounds that you can feel, go with a higher quality products.

    WONT LAST VERY DISAPPOINTED

    These sound amazing but won't last. I had 3 JBL sound bars in a year and half period. i had a 3.1 and it went out. Paid the difference and got this 5.1 and it went out. Was replaced with a new one and it went out. Thanks to the geek squad protection plan i was able to get it replaced. Keep in mind i did not abuse this item or even crank it up to full volume.

    We have experienced several ongoing problems with this product. It does not seem to be very compatible with our Spectrum cable service.
