’ve been using the JBL Bar 5.1 for a while now, and it has significantly enhanced my home entertainment experience. The sound quality is exceptional, with immersive surround sound and powerful bass that brings movies and music to life. Setting it up was straightforward, and the wireless subwoofer adds to the convenience. While the system lacks Dolby Atmos support and offers limited audio customization, these are minor drawbacks compared to the overall performance. Overall, it’s a fantastic soundbar system that delivers excellent value for its price.

Bought this JBL 5.1 soundbar to replace a defective Samsung Q60T soundbar. Easy to hookup via HDMI/ARC with our 2020 Samsung QLED television. The Bass of the JBL is impressive and the overall sound is quality and loud when you want it. Very clear voice is noticeable and appreciated. I performed a firmware upgrade (very easy to do, just hooked up an ethernet cable directly and it launched automatically) and now have 5 settings for subwoofer/bass. Dollar for dollar this is a great system. Audiophiles will argue there are better systems/sound, but for the average family that just wants quality sound from their daily television, this unit provides.

This JBL soundbar replaced a lower-end Samsung soundbar that has always had trouble playing nice with the two different Samsung TVs it had been used with (but which otherwise sounded great). After three weeks of daily use, this JBL soundbar (just the soundbar with the subwoofer) continues to provide impressive 3D sound. Two issues keep me from giving this product a full 5 stars, however. First, I was unable to get my Samsung TV (just a year old) to recognize the JBL soundbar when I connected my TIVO Edge to the soundbar, then the soundbar to the TV ("pass-through"), which the soundbar is supposedly able to support. It could be a *thing* with TIVO, though, since TIVO seems to have a lot of *things*. Fortunately, the soundbar works well when I connect the TIVO to the TV directly and then connect the soundbar to the TV (via the HDMI ARC connection); all connections are via HDMI. The second issue is the wireless connection between the (TIVO) remote and the soundbar. Pairing was easy, but the soundbar definitely doesn't have the range or sensitivity of the previous, far cheaper Samsung soundbar in its connection to the remote, as the JBL unit requires discrete pushes of the volume button on the remote to change the volume, with the remote pointed directly and precisely at the soundbar. It's a small issue to be sure, but I expect a product to perform at least as well as one costing a third as much. Overall, though, this JBL soundbar works well with my Samsung TV and I am very happy with it. Even my (definitely) non-audiophile wife agrees that the sound is great.

This thing is a beast. Hooked it to my Big screen TV. Hello crazy sound and bass. Love it for movies

Amazing sound for the price. Bass is more than sufficient.

Got a good price on this and the sound is great for the large room we put it in. The downsides are that the soundbar gets very warm. And you dont have control over the subs volume/db etc.

The JBL soundbar was a great purchase for my needs. This is used in our family room and provides great sound and bass for our main floor. For the price, I highly recommend.

JBL has decades of proven quality and performs to its par. Transforms a mediocre TV into a fuller and deeper experience. Just wish that it had more flexible equalization beyond bass volume control.

Love the sound and bass ability to change 5 levels… Bass subwoofer packs a punch so the option to change bass when is late at night to not wake the neighbors is a great feature. It also connects to airplay Thru Bluetooth allowing me to play from mobile devices on to TV and/or soundbar directly.

Awesome sound quality. Fantastic watching a movie. You can actually feel. One down side is it will occasional disconnect and you need to shut tv off and the. On again

Love my JBL sound bar. Wound quality is really amazing and heightens what my TV lacks. Glad I went with this option.

Bought in January of 25, so have owned for a year. It is good quality, clear sound, and not a bad price. It was one of the top end sound bars for the price point.

This has a very good sound. For just a soundbar it disperses the sound very well. Good replacement for a full blown surround system.
