I bought this soundbar on a black friday sale thinking it would just be ok. It was between this one and the JBL 2.1 but I figured I may as well just one up to the 5.1 for $100 more - well, I am not disappointed! I didn't realize this soundbar would also have the ability to airplay or use chromecast. Basically the same features as the JBL 9.1 minus the hefty price tag + some other features. I know a lot of folks claim it's not "real" 5.1 because the feature is technically being upscaled by a software, but this speaker really does blow any other soundbars out the door. I connected this to a projector and now have the leisure or using AirPlay or Chromecast instead of bluetooth, anywhere inside my home. This is a network connected soundbar, so if you are looking for a soundbar that can connect to your home network in lieu of bluetooth, then this is the guy to get. One call out, setting it up to my network was not all seamless, but once I got it working, it hasn't disappointed. I haven't ran into any issues, and although you can't really tweak the settings (eg. EQ), the presets are more than enough for an smaller to medium sized living room. JBL doesn't disappoint! I've purchased their portable flip device and it is still holding up strong.

Sounds great! Even though it’s hooked up via HDMI (ARC), it sometimes losses connection. Not sure if it’s the TV or soundbar. But overall, sounds great!

We initially had a JBL prior and had to get a new one after a power surge fried it. Thought we would save some money and tried an LG surround sound and was sooo disappointed with the sound quality. We returned it and went back with JBL. Good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.

I like JBL products, so I was drawn to the sound bar. I was after some heavy, quality bass and this JBL delivers. The remote is nice and simple. Only con but it happens on many soundbars is that it is hard to get the mid-range voice optimized. I find myself raising , and lowering the volume alot.

Black Friday price is too good to be true! I purchased this JBL on sale for $435 and felt great about the value, was able to return it and repurchase at the Black Friday price. Amazing bar! JBL always brings the best bass and the simulated surround sound is surprisingly good. Easy setup, it self-calibrates to the size of the room. I highly recommend!
