Bought one of these for my bedroom and WOW, pretty insane. Then bought one for my parents for their living room. We love the in home theatre experience it gives us. You can also just use it as a speaker and connect it to your cell phone. Sunday house cleanings are the best with my music bumpin. Highly recommend. I even signed up for the best buy membership which gives you this item at an UNREAL cost.

I purchased this about a month ago and it sounds great for the sale price I got on this bar. The setup is rather clunky. Other much less expensive bars I have in all the bedrooms rooms are better in that regards. Shame on JBL for something that has a 599 MSRP that has an app that is all but intuitive. The app doesn't do much other than identify the BT name of the unit and its connection status but is required nonetheless, along with Wifi to setup and perform firmware updates. It played bluetooth audio from a phone, tablet, a laptop, and TV with no issues. I did not experience any audio delay from the TV on Netflix, Hulu, or Disney and used the native TV apps to play content rather than a chromecast or other. I found the audio sounded great for a sound bar at this level with a wireless sub. The sub has 5 levels of output though 3-5 are about the only useful options. Lvl 1 is essentially off and 2 is just barely noticeable. 3-5 have a good range to find what you're looking for be it watching tv, music or gaming. Keep in mind its an entry level sub with much less power than a typical HT setup. It isnt going to rattle the neighbors windows if thats what you expect. It fills out the 250sq ft room I have it in nicely without having to crank the volume. Lack of EQ as noted by other users wasn't an issue for me as my TV handles that and my phone has no problem with its EQ as well. If you had a tv or other devices that lack an EQ I could see an issue trying to eek out as much performance as possible from this bar. The nail in the coffin for me is this bar caused me HUGE headaches for wifi connectivity. I have a 3 node wifi6 mesh network and during setup I experienced very slow wifi speeds while the bar downloaded an update. I chalked it up to just the harware in the bar. Then TV dropped out, my Hue bridge, then audio in another room (smart speaker connected to the same node), and finally the child node lost connectivity to the master after several minutes. I spent some time troubleshooting the mesh network, my modem, etc and about 3 days later figured out it was interference caused by the bar after running a pair of ethernet cables through the house to create a temporary wired backhaul for the mesh to rule out issues among them. As soon as this was in place i had no problem. I wasnt running ethernet all over the house to accomodate this bar however. This issue is presumably from the wireless subwoofer. JBL wasn't terribly forthcoming on giving me specifics of what frequencies this product operates on but after removing the bar from the room, the problem vanished. This is the only time in 2 years I've had connection issues in the home. The network has excellent coverage everywhere and is quite robust. The bar was in close proximity (5 feet) to that node but relocating either wasnt an option due to that particular node having some home automation components hardwired to it and no desire from me to change my entire setup so unfortunately I have to return this. I didn't try to use it further away as it wouldn't be suitable for the location I wanted it in. If you don't have a mesh setup and wont be putting it next to your router you're probably fine but keep an eye on this if you experience any wifi issues. Given that wifi performance is of great importance to most everyone I can't recommend this bar.

I love this purchase. I have had it for a while. It was easy to set up and love the theatre experience we have at home.
