This product was pretty easy to set up and sounded really good. Unfortunately, after about 1 year, it stopped connecting automatically with my TV. Eventually, I couldn't get it to work at all with the TV. Additionally, maybe it was something in the electrical at my house, but the subwoofer would randomly (not very often) emit a very loud boom that would startle us while watching a program. I had to buy a new system and I did not go with a JBL this time around.

This is the sound bar to rule them all. When I first heard it but the store was out, I figured I'd look for something else. But, I'm SUPER picky with my electronics and my wife even told me "Baby, you're not going to like anything else. You're convinced this is the one you want, this is the one you better get." I mean, it's a sound bar that doesn't cost a lot. What could one expect, right? Well, it produces sound, big deal. It can be connected to your bluetooth device, as well as HDMI and optical. However, what sold me was the wireless subwoofer. For the price, this thing sounded like it should have cost twice as much! So I bought two. Seriously, it blows all other sound bars out of the water in its price range. Nothing else even comes close. It does have subwoofer volume adjustment, and the subwoofer is wireless so you can put it behind the couch or wherever you so please.

I can't say enough great things about this sound bar. The surround sound while watching a movie along with the low base from the subwoofer completely beat my expectations!

Bass is excellent even at the lower volume. You can set bass volume from 1 to 5. You can also turn Surround sound On/Off through Smart mode On/Off by pressing mute button for 3 seconds and then leave the mute button and quickly press and leave the volume up button. Airplay and Chromecast works perfectly. Two things I wanna mention. First, it would have been nice if the sound bar has EQ settings/presets but it doesn’t exist. Second, sound bar does not have mobile app to set/control sound bar settings. There is only JBL setup app that is used to setup Alexa/Wi-Fi for the sound bar but, no other sound bar settings exists in that app like we have in the remote.

For the price it is a great sound bar. Easy to set up and easy functionality. The sub woofer adds that extra umph needed to put this above the rest at this price range. Yes I would have loved to spend some more on my soundbar, but the JBL fit the budget and I am very happy with the purchsae.

Pros: Price $399, sleek design, sturdy well built and a massive subwoofer, Easy to setup just plug into your TV ARC HDMI. You can calibrate this Soundbar to better fit hour size room. The 5.1 Surround Sound works great with movies. I've tested with movies from Netflix, Disney+ and also Apple TV Greyhound. The sound just draws you into the movie. and the power of that subwoofer is ridiculous. At a total 550w of power this thing will shake your living room. Even the soccer games sound great. Cons: No Dolby Atmos
