The replacement works very well, with a sound that is plenty loud enough for a guy who is hearing impaired - as i am. The sound enhances my music and I can hear it from anywhere in my house. The manual is typically subpar with diagrams having minimal detailed information. it is prbably adequate for savvy tech people, but with a friend to help me, the system is together and sounds great!
