Connectivity problem with the remote

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The sound is fine, however, 6 weeks after purchase lost connectivity using the remote when it was connected to the optical cable. We worked around the problem by going to the HDMI cable from the Apple TV to the sound bar. Now the sound bar works with the TV remote. Not sure what the problem was with the optical cable/JBL remote situation, but I guess it doesn't matter.
