    The speaker sounds great while the battery has charge. Unfortunately, I've gotten 4 hours of play time from a 6.5 hour charge. My JBL Xtreme 2 lasts longer than this speaker. This thing sucks for the price.

If the speaker doesn't meet the advertised playtime hours even at low to mid-volume levels, there could be a problem with the battery of the unit.     The treble is super super high even if you turn it down in the app, bass at 60%volume or less is great, after that it goes away.

    I originally ordered this from Amazon and it would skip like CD when I played Apple Music on my iphone. I figured maybe it was Amazon, so I returned the speaker and ordered from Best Buy. Same issue. Must be why its on sale? Strange Im not seeing any other comments about this issue. My Boombox 2 worked well for four years, so was looking fwd to the 3, but clearly there is an issue.

    Out of all the Jbl speakers I’ve owned I’ve never had a problem. I literally bought this speaker and had to exchange it 2 times. All 3 of the speakers did not last the 24hrs being advertised on a full charge. They only lasted at most 4 hours. On top of that the speakers would sound like they had static no matter if the music was low or high. We tried different different music apps as I know sometimes that is an issue but it was the same with all the ones we tried. This was a Father’s Day gift and my dad wasn’t even able to enjoy it.

    Package got stolen from fedex , they did not properly sealed the item with security tape or put it in a shipping box, all that was delivered was the box without the speaker in it, ive been trying to find a solution with them since march 17 (its april 13) and now they are telling me they cant do anything about it and i would need to contact our local police department.

    I am not happy with that purchase because the battery they last only for 1 hour an I think is weight to much money for it

      Thanks for your feedback. It is possible that the battery of your JBL Boombox 3 is losing its capacity. However, it is also possible that the battery is working correctly, but depletes more quickly when the volume is very loud and/or the bass has been boosted. Please try to charge the battery to 100% and listen at low volume without the bass boosted. If the battery lasts close to the published up-to-playtime, the battery is working fine. if not, the battery may be losing capacity.     Product says battery life expectancy up to 24 hrs, not till 3 hrs its died out on a full charge at a family gathering

    Great big speaker

    I have had tons of portable speakers over the years from jbl, sony and UE. In the last coupke years i have gravitated to the JBLs. Having replaced my UEs with them. This boombox 3 replaced my hyperboom. And i love it. Battery. The bass. The loudness. This boombox 3 is awesome. Now it is heavy but i havent had to lug it to far. Sounds great both inside snd outside. Make sure to download the app though so you can tweak the sound first time.

    i used this brand new JBL speaker for 2 hours and the outside speakers failed to work. i dont know whats going on with this boombox3 but needs to be addressed and fixed.

    Poor sound quality for $500, i have smaller speakers that sound better than this one.

      Thanks for your feedback. We're here to help with your JBL Boombox 3. This instance is sometimes caused by the quality of your source, depending on what you are listening to. You may check the music player app on your source device to see if Equalizer is engaged. If engaged, turn off the equalizer. If turning it off does not enhance the sound quality, turn it on again and adjust the EQ by boosting the bass to your liking. You can also control the Equalizer through the JBL Portable App to adjust and enhance the volume levels of specific frequencies in the audio signal. This feature allows you to personalize sound optimization to better meet your sound quality preferences.
