JBL - Boombox3 Portable Bluetooth Speaker - 2022 - Camouflage

Okay. For starters if you want something with some good sound and good bass compared to the normal mid range speakers, this is it. This thing is bigger than your usual speaker. I was looking for something with some more bass than the current JBL Extreme 2 I have, and this blew it out the water, of course over $150 the extreme price. Your able to download the JBL app so it helps you control a few EQ settings, including bass, but why lower that with the price tag on this thing. I live in an apartment and after a few days of use, I had to make a hard decision and say I'll return this because to listen to it at its full potential, the walls vibrate and it'll just be a complaint issue for me or my annoying neighbors. lol. Even if I drop the bass down fully using the app, it is just right to an extent, but with those settings, I'm basically at where the JBL Extreme 2 I have is, with maybe 10% more bass. So overall I'm returning this because I don't go out enough to use it, but it was a hard decision because I love the bass. This thing at a little outside hangout or beach would make it seem like you have an actual system with you, but for me, $500 for maybe a few outside uses a year is not worth it due to my living conditions. But if you use a lot outside for work or etc., have a home where neighbors wont be an issue due to the space next to each other, then this is it for you. Who knows, I have only had less than a week, maybe I might just keep it to have so when I do have those times I go out or we have family gatherings or beach days, then this speaker will be it. But for my general in home use in an apartment, I'll stick with my Extreme 2 I've had for the last year. That is on sale for $200 right now because they are on the 3rd version. Extreme 2 is greater than Extreme 3 because it allows you to answer and talk through your phone on the speaker which #3 does not, just FYI. Battery life is great, also depends on how loud you use it. I opened it a few days ago at 60% and only at 40% with a lot of use/testing.

Fantastic speaker. Purchased this model in-store for my partner for X-Mas after comparing physical feel/sound and online reviews of this model to JBL and similar brands' other models. He had wanted a speaker like this one for a long time. This one in particular had the most crisp sound at the highest level, great perks with: the bluetooth connection, portability, water resistance, and more. The size is absolutely perfect to make it versatile. Every other option I found personally was either too small to pack enough of a punch, or too large to be portable and personal enough. My partner and I both have been pleasantly surprised. You can use this speaker in just your bedroom, or your whole house! Your office, your gym, your classroom. You can use this speaker poolside and easily cover a pool party. This speaker would work nicely in a home theater, home and normal office, living/gaming room, in your vehicle, on picnics, or wherever you can imagine filling a room with quality sound. The battery lasts a LONG time. My partner turned it on right out of the box (soon after lol) on X-Mas, and the existing charge lasted all the way until yesterday 01/21/2025 (28 days) with average use. He has complimented the purchase of this speaker several times since receiving it. He's even stated it reminds him of back in the day, him walking around with an old-school boombox but with modern tech and aesthetics. That alone would be worth the price, but I highly recommend this speaker/boombox for all of the technical reasons I've listed as well. If you don't believe me, go test this baby out in-store! I promise you'll agree with me in no time. Especially if you're looking for a speaker for your partner, let me influence you for a moment. Look no further! BUY THIS SPEAKER.

This little boombox is amazing! It is ridiculously loud and the bass is phenomenal. It’s heavy and durable feeling but not quite too heavy to be too cumbersome. It’s pricey but well worth it. I haven’t charged it in forever and it’s still going. If you’re looking for a Bluetooth speaker and don’t mind the bigger size you won’t regret it.

Okay let start with unboxing, it got very cool artwork on the outside of the box with all the jbl logo and people jamming out, getting inside everything was packaged very well you get a nice cloth for the speaker, taken it out was super easy but however it so heavy 15 pounds for a speaker, i turned it on in the car and played some music at 50% and i fell in love with it right away with the new speaker setup in the boombox 3 and it probably by far the best sounding speaker the bass is so deep and powerful that it was litterly shaking the car mirrors i was blown away the mids were super crystal clear and the highs were a little but too high but it was clear, the build quality on the speaker is super premium which is what you would expect on a high end portable speaker, the fabric is super tough does not flex at all, it does get little dust in it super easy though but it is water proof dust resistant making it a great speaker for outdoor! When your outdoor you dont need to worry about your phone battery going low because it has built in usb ports to charge your phone! Definitely worth buying the boombox 3

Capable of producing decently full sound in large rooms and outside, with a moderate battery life at mid-high volumes and a decently solid waterproof rating, this is a great option to use around the house and on the go. It has a decent connection range to match the sound it can throw. It weighs a little more than many portable speakers, but it’s not inconveniently heavy in most situations for me.
