I do not notice a marked difference in better sound over JBL's smaller line. The interface is super simple and the app walks you right through all of it. Google assistant is very responsive, and the microphone has terrific range! I yelled from another room and was able to get the weather forecast. You can set up the mic to only allow commands from your own voice for security and to keep kids from adding ice cream to a shopping list. Battery life is as advertised at 10 hours. All in all, I recommend for this price point. JBL makes a good speaker, and Google assistant is useful and attentive.

I am disappointed that the product stopped working after 2 years. The speaker does not charge when plugged in. I suspect that issue is with the micro usb charging port. Is the charging /battery system serviceable?

Super Easy to Setup and Use with Google Home App

This ones built in battery has very long life, but I mostly use it in one room. Setup was very easy using the required Google Home App on my smartphone. Sound is great on this, with just some distortion when it gets fairly loud for an average bedroom. You can also just connect to it like a Bluetooth speaker and stream from your phone or computer/laptop/tablet. It is also water resistant, so good for using in a steamy bathroom when you need it for music. One of my favorite things to do with this device is pair it with a Chromecast on a TV or Monitor in a certain room (Forest Room Speaker and Forest Room Chromecast for example) You can set it up so that you can just say, "Hey Google....play Stranger Things on Netflix in the Forest Room" for hands free and device free use. Of course you will still be able to use your smart device to cast like normal as well.

Great multi use speaker
