This speaker is no joke. The level of volume it can achieve while still producing sound that is free of distortion is remarkable. The only downfall is the weight. High quality equals weight, but this fact makes it difficukt for one to consider it truly portable. Its on wheels, but if faced with even the slightest surface elevation, it quixkly becomes unstable and wants to tip or turn.

Really nice speaker, has a lot of bass even when the two bass boost settings are off. The two 7 inch mids are clear even at high volume with only a small amount of distortion. The RGB lighting is pretty nice and can be turned off. Also has strobe lighting effect that can be toggled on or off. Roughly 120db. Only regret is I didn’t get two and there’s no battery.

I have never heard a speaker that is so crisp, loud in a great way and full of responsive bass! The impact that this speaker has had on my listening experience is beyond measure. It should be noted that this is a very heavy speaker although it’s portable. The lights just enhance the magic. I highly recommend this speaker for any self proclaimed audiophile.

This speaker is a beast! The sound and bass that comes out of this are amazing. The added DJ pad and lighting effects are sure to get your party started and keep it going. We haven’t tried it with a mic yet but the options to add it are nice.

I use these 1000s for my house parties , they blow everyone’s mind on their clarity and the thump of the bass . The woofer facing down makes them hit hard and clear , awesome speakers

Very assertive sound outside in the open space. Wheels are very useful to move it around. Bass is thunderous. Mids and highs are good as well once you tweak your phone equalizer. Took off one star due to absence of mobile app to control the speaker given JBL has mobile apps to control cheaper Bluetooth speakers.

I had one of these already. For almost two years, I’d wanted a second. Finally I found an excuse to get the second. I am not displeased with that choice. Unlike all the other Partybox line speakers, these have powered subs. Sometimes the bass seems a little over accentuated but most of the time it’s just a very welcome part of the sonic capability these represent. While not PA system loud, for the common user, they are enough to power most occasions. Not cheap, but they don’t sound cheap either. I highly recommend. Your neighbors may feel differently.

Awesome 'party' speaker especially for my teenagers. Lots of interactive fun. Sound quality is, well decent. I feel like I was expecting a bit more clarity from JBL. Super over the board Bass! I'm not a huge fan of the pumped up bass. I understand its a BOOM BOX so it does Boom. Does the job. enjoying it for sure. Easy connection through USB. It's really heavy, but it does have its own wheels. Disco lights!! WOW! yup, they are cool/funny. I think the kids or party attendees will enjoy the atmosphere for sure. I think I need to see how I can turn them off when I am not having a party just listening to music. Expensive toy for sure. I think it will be a mainstay for quite awhile at our weekend get-away from the city. Great product, just wished it pumped out 'next level' clean sound.

I first got this to see what a $$$$ high value movable speaker would be. Let me tell you, its loud, clear, great bass, and can be heard from over 200 ft away! They recommend it to be only used inside, but i used it for outside parties. Its so great. Just make sure you have power since it does not have a built-in battery. I would highly recommend this if you have the money to spend!

We have had our Jbl 1000 for a year now and I just purchased a second one to pair with it. We use it by the pool in the summer time and then bring it in for our living room tv in the off season. The sound quality is the best you can buy. Deep bass, very crisp and loud mids.

Great sound from this portable speaker. The kids love the DJ sounds and lights. Easy to move around as it’s on wheels. Can be played vertically or horizontally. We primarily use this for pool parties outdoors and it’s loud enough to hear over screaming kids.

It’s official. My neighbors hate me. I’m not sure if it’s because of the overwhelming powerful bass this speaker produces, or if they are envious. Likely both. This speaker is the real deal, and it’s so much more. If you’re looking to elevate any sort of gathering, the JBL Partybox 1000 is going to be your best friend. Most will praise the huge bass sound the unit is capable of producing, but it is quite the well-balanced speaker. Although the Partybox 1000 lacks any sort of application connection which would allow you to customize sound stages via an equalizer, the levels of bass boost can be controlled (3 settings; off, more bass, and too much bass). I am very satisfied with the sound of this unit out of the box. We have terrorized our neighbors with a large array of music stemming from Houston Rap to Yacht Rock and it is all very pleasing. Friends and guests will love roleplaying as a DJ with the drumpad that is integrated on top of the unit. The preset sounds range from standard drums to air horns. There’s also a dazzling light display on the front panel which will draw eyes and ensure that the speaker is the life of the party. It’s even quite visible during the day. A word of caution, the speaker does run a bit hot so do consider powering it down if outside and idle. Overall, I cannot give this thing enough praise. Neighbor complaints aside, this speaker was worth the investment. It’s loud, attractive, and fun. If you’re throwing a party and are looking to take it to the next level, perhaps a few beyond, consider this speaker.

Didn’t think I would love this speaker as much as I do. Sound quality regardless on the volume is clear. It is heavy but the wheels make it very easy to move around. If you are looking for a loud speaker that has awesome bass this is what you want.

It is a great bluetoorh speaker.it has a great sound and very good base. The hi's isnt as good as a bose but it has better base This speaker will shake the floor and rattle the windows.i purchased a second one two weeks after the first one and the sound is excellent with two jbl 1000 paired. A pair is a investment ,it would be hard to find another set of portable speakers with comparable sound for a cheaper price. I dont use the lights or the dj pad so i cant comment on those features. But i am sure some folks woud love them . .
