I have been wanting this speaker for a while because it looked so pretty but the battery drains too quickly. Within three hours it was already dead after being fully charged

The lights are a cool feature but drains the battery. Dosent sound as good as the other horizontal JBLs. Not terrible just not as good.

These RGB speakers are not very good at RGB or speakers. You would think they sync with the sound they are playing but they don't but the biggest problem is that they constantly drop sound. It's so annoying that these are unusable as speakers. So in essence, they've become overpriced lava lamps.

This speaker has great sound quality can connect to other jbl speakers easily and has a great stereo sound option. The lights add a great touch and the app makes for fun interactivity with the speaker. Waterproof and floats and isn’t a hassle to bring anywhere like the boom box is. I thought the price was a bit much but now that I have the speaker I definitely feel I’ve gotten my money’s worth.

Bought this is product one year ago, maybe used it 10 times and went through 3-4 charges. 1 year later it will not charge and just flashes crazy when plugged in. Jbl is garbage

Within first two weeks of use it began to go silent for no reason at all. It w never dropped or mistreated. When fully charged, some days it works, some days, no sound.

Other than being a speaker, the light show is the main appeal to this product. This speaker is surprisingly loud without a washout in sound. There are multiple different light settings, and each are very cool. You will get the satisfaction of the sound and build quality you expect out of a JBL speaker. One of my favorite uses of this speaker is using it in a shower since it's waterproof.

Build quality is robust, sound is amazing at various volume levels and the light display is awesome too. Excellent product JBL!

The soud is great, well balance, the build quality is good, the ligths make it placent to look at. It's almost a perfect speaker, only for 2 things. The buttons ar hard to pres when your not looking to them. Also the battery it say 12 hrs and yes you get the 12 hrs at 45% volume with the lights turn off. But if you use the ligths and volume at around 80 %. Its only goin to last like 4 hrs

The JBL Pulse 3 is a fun speaker. This is a total rework of the design from the Pulse two to an acrylic enclosed lighting system. From the Pulse 2 to the Pulse 3, I would consider this a down grade personally. From the Pulse 2 to the 3, you also lose the color sensor resulting in far less accurate color customization and options. For new users to the Pulse line of products, this a great party speaker. It gets loud and you won't notice the distortion when at max volume if you are in fact partying or having a good time. You can easily link multiple JBL products to each other with JBL Link which is one of the best linking capabilities out there. A major negative for me is that the acrylic on the Pule 3 damages easily. I keep mine in my backpack and it had deep scuffs, marks, cuts, and other breakages. The speaker still functions, but that really is a turn off to the lighting action when you can see damages that easily occurred.

We bought two of these speakers for my son for Christmas in Nov. 2017. He has special needs and loves looking at the lights and listening to music. They were both working great until about a month ago when they started to not hold their charges even though they were charged over night. I went to plus one in and it made this loud noise and quit working. They are great when they are working. We have had the original pulse for over four years and have never had this issue.
