I will likely use it more when outdoors, etc. It is also inconvenient that it carries it's own battery that won't supply power to the phone. Design could have been better in this respect.

If i keep it on the phone it makes it too big to be useful. It does have some internal battery bit no info is availablr about it anywhere. Odd. You can buy a $20 speaker and it will sound better.

So you would think 10 hrs more battery life and improved sound ... Win win .. right. Nope. It just gives the speaker a little extra life not the phone and it only last bout 4 hrs. .. very disappointed

It worked nicely but did not give me the effect I was hoping for. It has been lying in my box of unused electronics since.I threw away the box, else I would have returned or sold it off.

This is the must have mod for every Moto Z series owner. There is nothing like having awesome sound blasting from your moto mod attached to the phone. It really makes the user experience more immersive. Some people will argue that the JBL moto mod doesn't produce as loud or as great as sound of a similar priced portable bluetooth speaker. Those people are completely missing the point and fail to realize the real pros of the JBL moto mod. Pros? 1. Convenience factor. It is so easy and quick to just snap on. Easier than connecting to a portable bluetooth speaker. 2. Portability factor. It weighs just a measly 5 ounces and doesn't make it so bulky that you can't carry it around. A portable bluetooth speaker weighs like 2 pounds and you aren't gonna carry portable speaker with your left hand and carry your phone with your right hand. I have a portable bluetooth speaker but it isn't as useful as the JBL moto mod. 3. Sound factor. It is awesome. Crystal clear with depth and nice. 4. Immersive sound from the phone/moto mod factor. There is a big difference when watching some movie/show/GAME and hearing great sound from your phone/moto mod rather than hearing a portable bluetooth speaker from the other side of the room. This makes the user experience lot more enjoyable and it is the biggest PRO for me. 5. The underrated stand factor. So nice to just flip up the stand and watch a video. 6. Solid battery life factor. 10 hours of built-in battery life. I highly recommend this JBL Moto Mod. All those great critic reviews and user reviews for this JBL Moto Mod are legit.
