Suprising Sound.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was suprised this speaker sounded so good. Music sounds like a quality small Bluetooth speaker. It is also great when using it as speaker phone. Built in kickstand is also a great feature. Durability seems pretty be good after a few months. The only downside is the inability to control the EQ of the speaker sound. I read that a future version may improve that. Otherwise this is a great Mood addition to you're MOTO phone.

Amazing speaker mod! Must-have mod!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been very impressed with this JBL moto mod. This is the must have mod for every Moto Z series owner. There is nothing like having awesome sound blasting from your moto mod attached to the phone. It really makes the user experience more immersive. Some people will argue that the JBL moto mod doesn't produce as loud or as great as sound of a similar priced portable bluetooth speaker. Those people are completely missing the point and fail to realize the real pros of the JBL moto mod. Pros? 1. Convenience factor. It is so easy and quick to just snap on. Easier than connecting to a portable bluetooth speaker. 2. Portability factor. It weighs just a measly 5 ounces and doesn't make it so bulky that you can't carry it around. A portable bluetooth speaker weighs like 2 pounds and you aren't gonna carry portable speaker with your left hand and carry your phone with your right hand. I have a portable bluetooth speaker but it isn't as useful as the JBL moto mod. 3. Sound factor. It is awesome. Crystal clear with depth and nice. 4. Immersive sound from the phone/moto mod factor. There is a big difference when watching some movie/show/GAME and hearing great sound from your phone/moto mod rather than hearing a portable bluetooth speaker from the other side of the room. This makes the user experience lot more enjoyable and it is the biggest PRO for me. 5. The underrated stand factor. So nice to just flip up the stand and watch a video. 6. Solid battery life factor. 10 hours of built-in battery life. I highly recommend this JBL Moto Mod. All those great critic reviews and user reviews for this JBL Moto Mod are legit.

Excellent Sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This speaker came at no cost with my Moto Z Force phone due to a special Best Buy was offering at the time, but after having used it, I would have been willing to pay for it if it hadn't. The sound is so clear and crisp. I've used it with Pandora and Google Play Music extensively. I really appreciate the built-in kickstand it offers, too. I only wish it would swivel so the phone could be portrait or landscape depending on what made the most sense at the time. While it's obviously not as good as a proper sound system would be, I've never seen a device this small and affordable put out such great sound. I keep the speaker connected at all times, even when my phone is in my pocket. It can be charged while connected to the phone, and the speaker also charges quickly with the phone while charging via the phone's TurboPower charging adapter.

Really adds some sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great alterative to carrying a Bluetooth speaker. It has a rich sound for it's size. Doesn't seem to hurt battery life on the phone too much.

Great speaker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well this is not a freaking blasting speaker to begin with, but it is loud enough to give a praise for it.I find myself using it a lot of times instead of the phone's built in speaker lll because it's louder and also saves the battery from the phone draining from the sound. The biggest praise I can give it is that most of the times of I'm streaming a show online and then I use Bluetooth a lot of times the sound will break and the movie would buffer a lot, this takes care of that because it's not Bluetooth so it's great.Battery life maybe 3 to 4 hours of continuous use at the loudest. A little heavy but worth traveling with it. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.

easy and convenient
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I honestly don't have any other portable speakers to really compare this to. However based on this speaker's performance alone, I have to say it works really well and has been a good purchase overall. The speaker couldn't be any easier to use. It attaches to the phone and is instantly connected. I believe there was a 1st time set up but it was so quick and easy I don't even remember what it was. You can take the speaker on and off at will without worrying about pairing it or anything like that. The back of the speaker has a USB type C charging port and a button you can press that lights up an LED to give you an idea of how much charge is in the speaker (it's green/yellow/red). When it's attached to the phone you can charge the speaker by plugging in your phone and both will charge at the same time. The phone will also show a dedicated battery gauge to show the charge level of the speaker. It's really convenient to have if you want to listen to music without carrying around a separate speaker. The sound quality is good considering the size of the unit. The kickstand on the back is also a nice touch. It does add a lot of bulk though so you probably wouldn't want to leave this on your phone while you use it throughout the day. Overall, I've been pretty happy with it.

Q: QuestionI read this has two 3 watts speakers any one if this is louder then the JBL clip 2 witch only has a one 3 watt speaker and also is this as loud as a JBL flip speaker having two 3 watts speakers
Asked by Lyon.
- A:Answer I have the mod and i also have the JBL FLip 2. I would say that its not quit as loud at the flip and doesn't have as much bass, but its close on sound. I think it does an outstanding job for its size. the best part is how easy it is to connect compared to pairing with bluetooth.

Q: QuestionThis looks interesting. Does it enhance the speakerphone function? Seems like it would.
Asked by mobilelawyer.
- A:Answer Yes, the SOUNDBOOST does amplify the speakerphone while the SOUNDBOOST mod is connected to your Moto Z.

Q: QuestionDoes this also act as a extended battery pack that you can put on motoz.
Asked by Prince.
- A:Answer There are so many conflicting answers here. The JBL Moto Mod does not act an an extended battery back. It does feature a built-in battery but it only powers the speakers, it won't power the phone. It means you'll get 10 hours of playback out of this without draining your phone. If you want an extended battery pack, get one of the models offered by Incipio, Kate Spade (they're actually made by Incipio), Mophie, or Tumi..

Q: QuestionITS FOR MY ZUMBA CLASS IT HAS GOOD SOUND?
Asked by GABY.
- A:Answer Don't get this if your goal is to have music playing back while teaching a Zumba class. Not only will your vocal instructions drown it out but so will the movements and breathing of the people participating in your class. You want something much, much bigger like a UE Megaboom, JBL Extreme, Harman Kardon Onyx, Bose SoundLink III, or any number of Sony, Bose, and Sonos speakers if you don't care about having a battery in the actual speaker. I recommend the UE Megaboom. You can eventually get two (or more) and link them all up together via Bluetooth so that you really fill the room with sound.
