speaker is good but IT WILL NOT CONNECT TO ANY GENERATION BEFORE IT. got this as a party speaker to connect with the others i own, the party boost feature only works with the newest generation of speakers. that being said if you are getting this as a standalone it's not bad, but the price jump from the previous generation is kind of hard to justify, I've been buying JBL speakers since 2015, and they've put some good stuff out, but not allowing previous generations to connect to the speaker is kind of a cheap move, because i know they could easily make it compatible with the old versions being the charge 4 and extreme 2.

Great sound quality and easy to connect. Enjoy listening to a wide range of music on this when connected to my iPhone.

Great sound , shape and size awkward but manageable . Have multiple different brands of Bluetooth Bose , turtle box , and Sony . The jbl is a great product .

My favorite speaker. Exchanging the Bose SoundLink Max for this speaker and getting money back in the process was the best decision I've made.

this is a MEGA speaker, love the portability of it. the sound is LOUD and Clear. use it as a bluetooth for a room full at a presentation... so awesome .

Replacing a JBL 2. And a nice upgrade it is. Make sure to buy extended warranty. Plus it sounds good and has a long battery life.

the best thing is against dust and water easy to transport I would have liked it to sound a little more of its bass but good quality

Great sound, holds a charge really well compared to others. Love my Bose ear buds. But when it comes to larger Bluetooth speakers JBL takes top ranking!

Excellent portable speaker. If you want decent bass and good highs(mids are iffy but this isn't audiophile quality,It is meant to be powerful and clear)... You have found the speaker you want. Battery lasts 4-5 hours for me at about 60% volume.

Best speaker i ever owned, versatile for my computer, using it outside. Very durable and doesnt get distorted at higher power

I like how its waterproof and its a portable charger too so no longer i have to carry an extra portable charger

I love the speaker I have almost 3 months with it and I would recommend my cousin has a xtreme 2 xtreme 3 is a little bit louder but the bass is even doesn’t let the sound get over it is equally I love the speaker

Great purchase- 5 star rating with the quality & volume of sound from JBL Xtreme portable speaker. Easy to charge & sync with iPhone. A little pricey but I hope it lasts a long time to benefit from cost averaging.

Ong the sound quality is unmatched without paying an arm and leg. The bass is great. Plus the application lets you adjust the equalizer for even more Boom!
