Love it but make sure to get a pop filter this machine definitely needs it. I am happy with my purchase.

At first we thought it was a great buy but after a few hours of use we realized it was very pitchy and occasionally would out of no where stop working. It would also make a high pitch sound at times.

It works great. I’ve been using it to play online games.

This mics aux input will mess up after continuous use. This has happened on two different mics from this brand.

This rating is based on the device not being something i could use for what I needed. I was attempting to do a video interview using my iPad. I wasn’t able to easily plug and play with this item.

It was pricey for the sound quality. Maybe it wasn’t compatible with my older laptop. Ended up returning it because it was too expensive to not work the way I wanted it to.

This is my very first pro-level microphone. I had been looking at mic options, as I needed to record a technical webinar for a friend. This mic fits the bill very well. It works with my Mac with no trouble. Sound is very clear for webinar purposes and it came out great. One thing to keep in mind is that the mic is very sensitive. I had to re-do the webinar once, not realizing that the mic was picking up my turning pages and the creaking of my office chair. I chalk that up to being a novice at doing recordings. The second round went much better once I understood the mic’s sensitivity. This is an excellent mic for a beginner, and possibly for pros as well. Not a lot of complicated settings, plug and play, and affordable. A great first mic!

Awesome I like it very much and it works very good

We have been using it around twice a week for the last 10 months. The omni direction mode worked pretty well in a room with 10 or so people. However, it has stopped working last week. Now it shows no power and it is not detected by computer. I just contacted JLab for warranty. I hope they have good service.

As with any product I receive, first impressions are very important. That is to say, when I open the product, the way it is packaged says a lot about the company. I knew when I started opening the package containing the JLAB TALK USB Microphone that I had a quality product on my hands. It was packaged professionally and thoughtfully, and it was obvious they were extremely concerned about their image. When I finished taking everything out of the box, I read the Quick Start Guide. The directions were very very precise and to the point making the entire process simple and easy. I attached the base to the microphone, inserted the USB cable (included) into my laptop, and the other end into the microphone itself. It absolutely is 100% plug and play. I had to do nothing to set this microphone up other than to adjust a couple of settings...that was it...the microphone was installed and ready to use! Yes, it was that quick and easy! Next came the testing. I do podcasts and YouTube videos. As well, I use several apps that use voice. I began by doing a mock podcast. During this particular test I tried out each of the four pattern modes. Each one worked flawlessly and exactly as they should. My "guest" and I carried on a conversation, and from all patterns our voices were clear. Of course each pattern mode created a different sound, but that is exactly the point of having four different directional patterns to begin with. We next did a mock YouTube video. This too was a great experience. Sound was excellent, clear, and vibrant. My partner played a tune with his acoustic guitar, and although it was not studio quality, the richness and depth of the notes were fantastic. The controls are another example of the outstanding quality of this microphone. It was obvious that whoever they had design this microphone knew exactly what he/she was doing, and obviously had extensive background in the ups and downs of podcast and YouTube recording. The controls are all right there on the microphone itself. You don't have to screw around with computer controls and complicated boards to make the microphone do what you need it to do. I absolutely have found my new microphone, and I would HIGHLY recommend the JLAB TALK Microphone to ANYONE!! PROS: Extraordinary recording quality. Intuitive, simple and easy controls. Insanely easy plug and play. The overall design that gives this microphone a rich and professional look...the lights are the icing on the cake! CONS: Yes, I hate to say it, there are a couple of things to point out that I think could have been a bit better. The tripod mount. This is a great idea, and the tripod itself is of outstanding design and quality. But for the most part is just is not adjustable as far as height goes. There are times during a podcast that the microphone needs to stand a little taller, but because of the amazing 4-directional capabilities of the TALK Microphone, this is really a minimal issue. Due to the sensitivity of the microphone, it is important to make sure there are no background noises going on. Seriously, it was able to pick up the sound of my dog scratching himself in the next room. Now, I hesitated to consider this a "CON", and it really isn't, but it is something you have to be absolutely aware of if you are doing recordings that don't have the background filler noises. In closing, I will be recommending this particular microphone to all my associates and friends who need an awesome and superior quality microphone! Thank you JLAB for outdoing yourself on this one!!

I need to start by saying this is the first standalone microphone I have used since, maybe, Windows 95? Windows 7? Since then, it has either been a webcam, a laptop or, from time to time, a headset. So, going in, I was interested to see how this was going to go. Honestly, I was very pleased with whole thing. Basically, you plug it in, and you are off. The provided cord is long at 6.5 feet, is USB-A to USB-C (thank you) and is braided to help with tangles. There really is not much to it. There are four modes, with each focused on a particular use case. These are changed with a dial on the front (which also serves as a mute button), as are the volume and gain. I have to say, I do not really love all of these controls. There is no “end,” they just keep turning, and they share some functions and indicators. I just feel this could have been implemented better. Perhaps just another knob? In the end, they work. With time I will get more familiar. The mic itself is solid, looks nice, and comes with a similarly styled stand that is also well-built. Everything feels good in the hand, sturdy, but not so heavy to be noticed. That said, while the stand is completely functional, I am hoping to grab a mic arm and see how its fit in there. I do not think it will be an issue. This is simply better for my setup. The main reason I was interested in this was, no surprise, for video calls. I have a webcam, but it is not the best quality and with family, friends, and work all using video so much these past few months, I wanted to improve my setup. I moved to a mirror less camera, but I needed a mic. So, for me, this was perfect. I dabbled with all of the modes, but the one I have mainly used is Cardiod. For my purposes, this was the best choice, and it worked well. I think it may perform the best out of all of the modes, but I need some more time to mess around with the other modes in more settings. The mic is sensitive, and with some minimal effort I was able to dial it in perfectly for my calls. Everything was clear and crisp, with a nice sound. Perhaps not so rich or robust as pricier mics, but still a good quality and far better than anything I was getting previously. In the end, I am very pleased. While I do think the controls could be implemented better and the stand may take up more space than I think it should, these are minor complaints. All in all, I really like this mic. It has a good build quality, is well-equipped, looks good, and, most importantly, it sounds good. It is easy to get working and has a few modes that should cater to just about everyone’s needs.
