This is a design flaw that all JoyCons will get in some life of your Switch console.

Great controllers for the Switch

So we went back to BestBuy and purchase an additional two controller pack. This is a great value and it saves you some money to buy two instead of just one controller Just make sure you don't use these for navigating a submarine down to the bottom of the ocean
