Don't buy an open box

I bought it open box, like new condition, but from opening the box you can immediately tell it was not like new. The joy-sticks were disgustingly dirty, so I had a feeling that someone just bought new joy cons and replaced it with their old ones that had joy con drift. I checked it out on my switch and I was right. Both of the joy cons had pretty bad drift. I replaced the joy sticks and now they work fine, but it was pretty annoying to buy something at that's labeled like new when it was definitely not.
