The original ones were starting to lag and became unresponsive even after resetting and following the recommended troubleshoot procedures m. Bought these and they work great as expected but who knows how long these will last.

I was still using my original pair that came with my Switch in 2017 and the were starting to get the dreaded "drift" malfunction. I considered buying cheaper knock-off Switch joy-cons, but happy I went with the real deal for the replacement. I feel like the batteries in them so rarely need charing.
