Switch essential

It's expensive, but it's a huge upgrade from the nunchuck day of the Wii. Unlike the nunchuck, both side of the controllers can be used independently and you don't have to worry about the cable in between. On games that only require one joycon, each player can grab one to play. They are not as durable as the Wii controller so make sure you get the protective cover for them.

Joy cons are great but absurdly expensive

They are nearly 1/3 of the price of a new Switch. Otherwise, I very much like the feel of them.
