The drifting joystick is an issue. These were my 3rd set, and they're not cheap. But that's Nintendo's fault. They're not too small for me, and hold their charge well.

The Nintendo controller for the switch has a awesome playability and is a great concept.  However, the way it’s currently constructed makes it easily breakable or suffer, malfunctions, such as button drifting. Overall,  I would suggest getting a warranty or insurance with the controller in case they break, but other than that it is a great product.

Love the color combinations easy to use love how it looks

These are great. I don’t recommend going with non OEM. They don’t work well with all games. These controllers here do. Worth spending a little extra for these.

I have the grey Switch Joy-Cons that came with my system, and I love how they work! I was able to find some of the Neon Joy cons recently at Best Buy because I wanted to be able to play 4 player when Mario Kart comes out, and they are great. I have not experienced any of the reported issues going on in the news.

Great controllers, easy for little kids. My small ones learned within 30 minutes how to use these after never having used any game controllers before.

I decided to get some more joy-cons to play in Mario Party, and it works out well. Another benefit is I don't need to undock the ones attached to the switch, and can just use these. Just make sure you get a charging stand since these charge while docked to the switch.

These are pretty standard joycon controllers, great to have as a second set, or a primary set while your joycons are being RMA'ed for joycon drift.

Defiantly worth investing in extra controllers of you plan on playing four players for Mario Kart and other games alike. Just grab the Nintendo Switch steering wheel accessories and slap each controller into them and you will have four active steering wheels to race around in Mario Kart with.

As chucks go this set works well but have not been using as primary control. Only for had held mode. Would like a better selection of these.

Although not necessary,its great to combine this with the set that comes with the switch. Ultimately you would get 2 larger controls,or 4 mini controls when you purchase these with your system. Surprising accurate and responsive. Long charge time, but last for hours

Im glad these Joycons work well because I needed them for the Legend of Zelda, So far they work well and the color scheme isnt terrible

These joycons start out well but rarely last more than a few months or around 400 hrs of gameplay for me. The main problem is how they designed the joysticks. They are far too precise so that even with a tiny bit of wear they will sometimes get stuck and continue to register movement in the center position. I guess this can be called joystick drift and it makes most games unplayable as you watch your character wander off in some random direction when you want him to stay put. Dusting and opening up for cleaning does nothing. Neither does resetting calibration or updating the firmware. So if I want to continue playing games on this system, I'm stuck buying a new pair every few months. It also isn't great that some joycons are tight and others very loose when installed on the switch. You can fix this with tape on the side, but you shouldn't have to. If they can improve the durability of the control sticks, these would be great. I've never had to buy controlers so often on any other past nintendo system. Usually they would last for years without breaking. Maybe these are just too small and harder to build. And since I only like playing in handheld mode, there is really no other option for me. My october made switch joycons from last year as well as several other pairs of joycons bought separately all developed the joystick failure after a few months of playing. I wish all games had the option of using the directional buttons instead of the stick, because I never had any problems with the push buttons wearing out.

We purchased this item and has been working perfectly. I purchased it for my nephew and he loves it.
