These JVC buds are a great mix of sound, fit and quality. First and foremost for me is fit. I don't know if it's just my ears, but I tend to have issues with how earbuds fit. These are lightweight and very comfortable. I don't get the dreaded tired ears from these. Build quality feels good. Battery life is great. As for the waterproofness of them I think they will be fine, but I haven't really had them out in the rain yet. Controls are easy to understand with good sensitivity (that's something I've had issues with on other buds). So, how do they sound? Awesome! A lot of earbuds look alike, but sound quality is what sets them apart. These hit above the price point. Bass is very good. That often isn't the case with earbuds. nature of the small design I guess. But these have much better bass than I would expect. Higher frequencies are handled well. In other words, it's not a case of you get a lot of bass or just a high tinny sound. It's a nice balance. Noise cancellation is as good as I think it can be with earbuds. Hard to make something so small to do a good job with this, but these do pretty good. These may not be the top of the line, but they are good enough to make you wonder why you would need anything more.
