They Do What They Say
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They work. Once they connect, they stay connected. Compare to "Skullcandy - Indy ANC Fuel True Wireless - Black" that I purchased first, and totally do not work. Go with these instead.

Amazing value for comfortable, compact ANC earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had a long history with JVC earbuds. When I worked in the electronics retail business (back in the iPod days, sadly), JVC earbuds were always my go-to recommendation for the lowest budget shopper because they had decent sound and comfort even at prices just above the lowest tier on the market. I'm happy to say these JVC True Wireless HA-A30T earbuds fulfill the exact role that I expect from the brand. Out of the box impressions: JVC has made a really unique looking product. The size of the charging case included is very different from other wireless earbuds. It's smaller in the X and Y dimensions but a little thicker than any other wireless earbud case I have in the house. Ultimately I found them to fit just fine in my pants pocket and in my work bag, but I suppose with tighter pants you might find these to have a bit more of a bulge. Personally, I like the design. The earbuds themselves are quite a bit smaller than any oither earbuds I have in the house, as well. A bit disappointing that the case is just for charging and doesn't have an easy pairing function or show its own battery level, due to the lack of bluetooth built into the case itself - however, considering the cost, it shouldn't be surprising. Performance impressions: The JVC HA-A30T have two equalizer modes, flat, and "Bass." Personally, I prefer the flat EQ but the bass boost definitely adds more punch for music that demands it. Given the exceptionally low price for an ANC earbud set, I was not expecting them to sound amazing, but for products in this price class I shift my expectations a bit. I think they sound on par with a few earbuds I've reviewed that are priced higher and don't have ANC - JVC has really made something special here. The ANC performance is adequate - for one, just being ANC earbuds means they have the silicone IEM style which fits into your ear canal, sealing off some outside sound (noise reduction). The active noise cancellation itself works well, noticeably reducing fan noise, both the low drone of an air conditioner and the high pitch of a gaming laptop. It does a little better with higher pitched sounds than lower, but it's still pretty good with both. Again, at this price point, I'm amazed at what JVC has done. The ANC may not on par with the best in the market, but I think the ANC is better than a popular brand I've reviewed at twice the price. Really awesome stuff. Call quality is mediocre - I think the clarity is actually pretty good, but there doesn't seem to be any kind of noise cancelling on the microphone(s), so they pick up sound from all around you. That's not a downside to me - for calls I will always use a better headset, but it's something to be aware of if you like to call people from noisy environments. Comfort and battery impressions: I've put in two longish workday sessions with the HA-A30T earbuds. With noise cancelling enabled, JVC advertises 17 hours for the case and earbuds, and I couldn't find a figure for just the earbuds themselves. I haven't been able to put in a full battery cycle on them, so I can't speak to that either. I'd expect at least 4 hours of juice per session with ANC on, but I haven't tried to drain them completely. I haven't had any issues with sweat or irritation when wearing them for a long time, and they seem to stay in my ears pretty well with non-exercise use. I wore them when cleaning and moving furniture this week and they stayed put. Going forward these will be my immediate go-to recommendation for friends and family looking for a quality earbud with active noise cancelling.

Great for the price !
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good. My only gripe may be they hurt my ear after awhile …. I wear them for 5-6 hrs at a clip so it makes sense if I’m doing that every day. But would buy again !

Poorly designed shape/size
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I could not get these to stay in my ears. They stuck out way too far regardless of the size silicone piece used. They fell out several times during a workout and were almost crushed by the stair machine. Sound quality was good. Controls were way way too sensitive. I tried to get used to them but I just couldn't. Returned within 2 days.

Unexpected & pleasant surprise for 1/4 the cost!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With only a quarter of the cost of the most expensive brands I was surprise to see how well these earphones worked, and the design is well thought of as well. Very light, no brainer to put them on, no complicated twist or adjustments or calibrations, just put the earphones inside your ears, the silicone earpiece will adjust in your ear cavity and it will hold firmly with no concern that they will fall down. The setup is super easy, just take them out of the case. They will power on automatically just look in you cell phone for new BT devices, it will show as JVC HA-A30T, pair and that’s it. You are ready to enjoy the music or take phone calls. One of the cool things I noticed is the single-side use. I was able to talk on both the left or right earpiece. This is very useful so I don’t have to pay attention to which one I have to take for the use of one when I want to make phone call or attend meetings. It comes with a short USB to USB-C cable that will allow you the charge the device. It does not include the ac adapter. It comes with extra 3 pair of silicon earpieces in different sizes. The Battery power, on continuous playback, will last around 7 hours with the ANC enable, and little more than that when is disable. Full charge time of the case is about 2 hours and will keep the power for 20 hours. If the Battery on the earphone is completely depleted, 10 min will charge enough to provide 75 min on continuous playback. This is another cool feature, lets say you go to the gym and you realized the earphones and Battery depleted, just put in the case and for 10 min and you can have them working at once. The sound is very good, the Bass by default is enough, I didn’t need to enable the bass boost. Very clear voice and good treble definition. For Phone calls, left earphone supports microphone mute with one tap, that is very handy, and I was able to use the microphone with only one side on either the left or right. The case is very small and portable so you can carry it in you pocket and will not be noticeable. The Active Noise cancelling work really well too, very effective while I was working at home with my family making noise around. The operation is pretty similar to the other brands. I think it’s like a default, but basically is as follows: Automatically power on when they are taken out of the case 1 tap left play, pause 2 taps left Volume Down 3 taps left Volume Up 1 tap right Noise cancelling on/off 2 taps right Next Song 3 taps right Previous Song Press and hold Right ANC mode on /off Press and hold Left BASS BOOST mode on/off Long press for 3 seconds Power ON/OFF For single ear mode, the operation is the same on either one. Sound Performance and phone calls are very good, operation is intuitive, easy and battery life is great, I have no regrets with this earphones. This is money well spent because the earphones are great quality that will last me a long time I recommend it to anyone looking for a good pair of earphones.

Good earbuds for people that don't like earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For whatever reason, earbuds don't stay in my ears very well, but the A30T had no problem staying put for hours. I found them very comfortable, even using them all day. Speaking of, battery life was quite impressive as I was able to get more than 12 hours before getting a low battery warning. After that, drop them in the recharging case and they're ready for use the next day. Audio quality is average, neither good nor bad. It does have a bass boost equalizer setting ( the other is flat response ), but as with any earbud, the sound and bass is determined more how well it seals in your ear than anything else. JVC claims this is a low-latency bud, and that sorta holds true. Other true wireless products I've tried in the past had horrible lag ( one bud receives the signals from your phone or computer then has to relay and sync those signals to the other bud ). Watching videos is a no go since everything you hear is half a second behind what you're seeing on screen. The A30T doesn't entirely remove the lag, but it cuts it back considerably. There's still noticeable lag, but it's a fraction what I've seen from others. The interface is fine, the buds have touch sensitive surfaces right under the JVC logo. It's typical of what you'd see in other earbuds, though controls are backwards what I've seen from most others ( play/pause is on the left, not the right, but it's no big deal ). You get voice prompt feedback instead of just beeps and tones, so it's a lot easier to learn which tap sequence does what. On the downside, these have very poor range. As long as you stay in direct line of sight, it's fine, but go into the next room or get any kind of wall or obstacle between the buds and the source device and the audio will drop out. I guess the long battery life comes from using a very low power Bluetooth radio. Also, the noise canceling mode on these isn't very good. It will block out a little background noise like your AC fan at home or distant traffic on the street, but does little to block out any stronger noise. Still, at this price they're a perfectly decent option. If you're worried about long battery over fancier features, you might want to try them out.

Unreliable
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They constantly power off while using. The noise canceling and the right ear stops working while the right works for a short time. Even after being put back in charger, they don't work for a day or so.

Comfortable and nice performance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful thing about the JVC True Wireless In-Ear Active Noise Canceling Low Latency Headphones is that they fit so nicely in my ear. No amount of movement or sweat had them budge a bit and no pain in my ear. Great work on the comfort. Sound, though, is pretty average. You don't have an app (a big plus) to tweak any sound settings so you're left up to your phone's ability to equalize. The instructions don't include it, but you can switch from "Bass" to "Flat" mode by long pressing (about 1s) on the left bud. It'll beep and then state the mode it's in. The bass does bump up the bass but it seems to make some vocals a bit muddy. Flat works better in my opinion. The volume doesn't get as loud as I'd like but at least noise cancelling works to keep some of the ambient sound out. The noise cancelling works, but it doesn't seem to do so well with random sounds. It works best with steady buzzing background noise. It doesn't completely drown it, but reduces the noise. It helps, but it's not the best noise cancelling I've used. Battery life is supposed to be up to 9hrs if you turn off all the extras. I haven't had to test it yet for that long, but it did last for four hours without a sweat. The low latency didn't work so much for. I can't say if it's the buds or my phone and computer. I watched a video and there was just a tick of latency that I noticed. Gaming on my Windows PC showed so much that it was unusable for gaming or video. So the phone was better, but still noticeable. One plus is that you can use just one bud independently of the other if you didn't want to plug in both. For the price it's a great set of buds and offers awesome features without putting a big dent in your wallet.

Compactness with Good Audio
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pairing them to my phone was quick and easy. Sound is better than most in this category although nothing to impress an audiophile like me. Still, it is the type that I feel comfortable to wear during a walk without being too concerned about them falling on the concrete and costing and an arm and a leg to replace. It is rated as low latency and it delivers it. It synced well with video conferences and a couple of games. As for active noise canceling (ANC), it works, but again, it is not very impressive. For walks like I do daily, it is adequate, especially because it still allows me to be aware of my surroundings. Here is where I prefer this not-so-efficient ANC device to others. It is nice to use the feature when all you want and need to hear is music, but when outdoors, you should be able to hear when a vehicle or other threats are coming towards you. This JVC ANC feature is balanced in that regards: it cancels some of the noise but not all of it. Here are the pros: • Design looks a lot better than previous models. • Compact • Fits well in ears. Just keep in mind that different ears may have different experiences. Mine are very sensitive and it still felt comfortable and never fell off. • Lightweight • USB-C, instead of mini-USB or proprietary connection And the cons: • So-so ANC • Sound is good, but not excellent. This is subjective and I admit that I’m too picky when it comes to audio. My rating is based on my experience and the category I would place these earphones in. I’m not comparing them to higher-end buds, but I would still recommend them to a friend who didn’t want to spend a lot more money, or for those who want to take these on walks and light workouts.

Jvc earphone
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The battery life is short . I also noted that noise cancelling is not so efficient. I had a hard time connecting, too. I have to go back to Best Buy and return the firs item because it died on me and would not connect to my phone. But once everything is set - up , it works wonderfully. It meets my basic needs .
