Bare bones but that's to be expected for the price. And it does do what it's supposed to do. It is confusing to operate at first -- no instructions on features, or how. to turn functions/options on/off. No idea why it "locks," or protects, every other video, for instance, or how to turn that function off. But overall, you get the hang of it pretty quick. And like I said, it works as advertised.

Kenwood tech support is the worst. said I would never buy another one of their products after the catastrophe of purchasing one of their receivers about 10 years ago. brand new out of the box and the surround sound didn't work. made me take it in for repair. its new, give me another one!!. nope. repair shop couldn't fix it. they wanted me to send it in on my dime. WHAT!! nope took it back and the dept store exchanged it. Similar issue with this and tech support. recorder works fine but it should have a built in battery. the download for your computer so you can review and modify the footage is worthless. you get the sound but no video. I have emailed them 3 times as of now with worthless ideas to try. now I get no response. IF you do purchase this try every aspect of it and if something doesn't work, take it back. you will get no help from Kenwood. worst company ever. I gave them a second chance and I should have known better.

Excellent Camara easy to use easy to install good quality of videos.

The dashcam did its job with the quality it takes. The recorded audio was also clear inside the car even when the music is playing at the same time. What I love about this dashcam is the integrated GPS that you can use when you transfer the videos to your pc and use the kenwood app to view the captured video.

Had a car accident happen 10 feet in front of me one morning and it was the last straw. I needed a dashcam. Picked this one up on Open box and the only bad thing i can say about this cam, the parking sensor is very sensitive. Ive had it go off and record for 30 seconds of a leaf falling. But other that that its been excellent.

Works well. Video is clear upon playback. Night video recording is also good. Better for you to download files directly from the storage card because doing it wirelessly can be very slow.

Easy to hook up but stillnhave not figured out how to download the video. Need better instructions.

Good Dashcam. Does what it is supposed to do. Image and video are clear. Just wish it came with a polarizer. Would recommend.

Excellent value for the price with loads of features. Works better than expected but does have a learning curve. The only thing I found odd that support couldn't answer was it was going into protective mode when started when I didn't push the protect button. Turns out I had turned on the Parking mode when setting it up, which apparently puts it into protective mode automaticlly. Haven't had the chance to follow up with support.

This KENWOOD dash cam worked really well. We got this model because we weren’t sure how much we would want to use it while we were traveling. Very happy with it.

Bought this to help with the crazy drivers on the road. It will help me get out of any at fault tickets when i get cut off and rear end someone.

Easy to use once you familiarize yourself with controls which are not intuitive. For the price it does what it should no issues with the app.
