It doesn’t go to record when I start the car. I have to tab down to video and hit play every time. I forget a lot. Don’t like that.

I can see the videos through its app and has definitely recorded my drives in case of any emergency. I think its a plus nowadays to have a dash cam.

Don't buy this

Every couple of days it keeps beeping with a warning protected files will be overwritten but it doesn't overwrite them. I have to format the card each time or I have no recordings of my trip. It gave me the warning just as we were leaving to go out yesterday and I didn't format the card. On the journey there was an accident in front of us. When I got home to review the files, there were no records of that trip. I can't find any options to turn off saving protected files. There are 2 directories on the SD card. Video and Protected. I just want the files to be saved in Video and be automatically overwritten but there is not an option. The quality of the video and sound is great but as I can't return the item now, it was an expensive mistake as I need to buy a new camera.

Flawed Design

You can only use the supplied mount which sits at an angle, presumably to compensate for the angle of the windshield of a car. However, since I intended to use this on my bus which has a straight windshield this camera is completely USELESS!!! The same would be true for any large vehicle, Buses, trucks, RVs would all be unable to use this camera.
