This is a great camera that is easy to use. The UI on this model, which is push button, is better and more responsive compared to the touchpad on the more expensive 601 model. This cam produces crisp clear pictures and is easily mounted and hardwired. It's a good value and entry level dash cam. My only complaint is that the kenwood rear view cam cannot be connected to camera. You are forced to buy the 601 model.

I got two of these cameras as the Insignia cameras were out of stock and these Kenwoods were on sale for $69.99. Despite not having a rear-facing camera, they seem to work well, decent quality video with GPS.

Excellent dash cam. I bought two KENWOOD CDR-A301W and works very well. This can have everything of the expensive cam and more advantage than the most recently or new others dash cams. This KENWOOD is great and amazing cam. Thank you for read.

For the price of this camera I would say that I am overall very pleased with this camera. It does have a lot of detailed features on the display when reviewing. The sound and audio quality are amazing. It also works great in the dark. Not so well when it's foggy or snowing heavily. The only thing that I do not like about this camera is downloading footage from the cam to your phone literally takes forever. Save your self some time and just connect the Micro SD Card into your PC, Laptop etc.

This camera takes amazing video! The integration is fairly straightforward, however there are some things that could have been made better on the software side. Namely; In order to access video on the camera, you have to establish a WiFi connection with the camera itself and your phone (or other device). Then you can access the video to lock, unlock, or delete as needed. Luckily, the camera will overwrite the oldest video automatically.

The product itself and Bestbuy is fine. The only problem I had was related to the app to download the videos directly in the cellphone. But we can plug to a computer and download. anyway

The hardware itself is ok. The video quality is average and ok. The software on the camera feels a bit out of date, and for example finding a particular video is a tedious task because you push the scroll button 100 of times depending on how far back you have to go in the list. However, all of this would not be necessary if you could control the camera through your phone, bet the app for it is absolutely unusable!! To establish the connection between app and camera itself is clumsy. While other brands doing this automatically, this app requires it every time. If connection is established, nothing else happens. If you’re lucky you might get to the video view screen, but then everything seems to freeze. I have this camera now 6 month, and I have been able to watch just one of the recordings on my phone screen. That’s it. Forget about sending a video or even editing. Conclusion: The application is worthless and super frustrating. Using this camera, you can only hope not to have to show footage of an incident to a police officer on that tiny screen of the camera, because you have no way to show it on your phone. Therefore, this whole system is useless. I will get me another one. One I can actually control and use seamlessly with my phone.
