For those who are already fans this is a great product but for people new to the series it's a slow start with sluggish controls.

    O sweet nostalgia!

So, most of the reason for the score is because of KH1's camera which is freaking AWFUL and I don't remember it being that terrible during my PS2 days, but alas...we cannot have everything. KH1 was my second game in the Kingdom Hearts franchise (II was my first), and I gotta say: it cleared a looooot of stuff up! Despite the janky camera which makes a lot of tasks much more difficult than they have to be (Alice in Wonderland world = UTTER PAIN), all the hack-n-slash fun was still in tact--just in much smoother HD! Seriously, Destiny Islands looks so bright and beautiful it's amazing. But, skipping from the cinematics and how PRETTY the game is... And skipping the story because yo I don't got time to explain it... The gameplay! Discarding the camera (WHICH IS PAAAAIN, SO MUUUUCH PAIN), fights in KH are primarily hack-n-slash...until they're not. Some mini boss battles require time, thought, and planning: such as one boss, which you have to perfectly time a counter for. If you do this correctly, they will hit you and be knocked on their back, thus being vulnerable to your attack. This is the ONLY way to deal damage, otherwise they just tank your hits. Additional bosses are added in, of course, and they are HARD and require speed (for summoning Tinkerbell to keep you alive), timing (for deflecting projectiles), and patience. However, if you choose to go with a linear story path, you most likely won't have too much difficulty--depending on which mode you pick. You can most likely breeze through regular bosses in easy and normal mode, but as you go up in difficulty you'll have to put a bit more planning into your attacks. For example, the boss in the Alice in Wonderland world will gain their fire attack much quicker if you actually use fire spells on them. So what do you do? You use your newly-gained Blizzard spell, that's what! Planning like this is simple, but settling an attack pattern is essential for saving your skin as you progress. Now, as for Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories gameplay... I don't know! I haven't played it yet! I'm still playing KH, but it's nice to know I have another full game on standby on one disc for when I finish. Oh, and the Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days movie? That hurts, man. In a good way. (Super easy trophy too!) All in all, I highly recommend this collection! Good price for two full games and one "movie".

The best game I ever played with my kids.

Without giving too much away for those who haven't played the game, Kingdom Hearts was the first game I played with my kids in the room. They were captured by the story from the beginning as much as I was. To this day, no other game has made me as enthusiastic about playing from start to finish as much as this series. Fans of both Disney and Final Fantasy will be right at home in this game. I still have the game guides from the PS2 version of this game, and I held onto a working copy as long as I could. With this release, my children are now old enough to play themselves while I watch with nostalgia. Looking forward to September. Everyone should support Square and Disney by purchasing this game. Motivate them to finish the long overdue Kingdom Hearts III. This is the pilot to see if it is worth the investment. KH2.5 will arrive next year, and I'll be there on release day as well. If you have never played the game, jump in and join the fandom. You will not be disappointed!

    Excellent Game

I pre-ordered this game back when it was first released over 10 years ago and fell in love pretty much instantly. It's a weird concept -- mashing together Disney and Final Fantasy character -- but it works incredibly well. I was really happy to hear of this re-release and tracked down a copy on release day since I decided too late to pre-order it. The start of the show really is Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, which was never before released in the US. The game has aged very well, and the HD graphics are beautiful. The soundtrack is excellent. As before, however, the camera is still fairly problematic -- more than one battle was made more difficult than it needed to be because of the camera, and the combat is still on the button mashing side of things. I would definitely recommend this to every KH fan, and I'm excited that a new generation of gamers can experience it for themselves.

Greatest Game Ever Made No Matter Your Age!

Imagine all of your favorite Disney classics and the elements of Final Fantasy. Now Imagine being able to play through those stories with a puzzle solving and hack/ slash gameplay style. Sora brings Disney stories like Aladdin, Pinocchio, Nightmare Before Christmas, Tron, Winnie The Pooh, Little Mermaid, and other classics to life almost as if they now had their own video game. Characters from other disney movies help you fight as well as characters of the Final Fantasy series.

This was one of my favorite games as a kid. And the remake is beautiful and just makes the game that much more enjoyable. I've played through a few worlds and so far it's been seamless. Definitely a great game to add to the collection.

this is an old game that I bought for my kid. He seems to really be enjoying it and it's a refreshing change from some newer games out today. Sometimes it gets difficult, but he seems to be enjoying it.

Great Deal for a Great Game

Now that I have a ps4 and I know that Kingdom Hearts 3 will be coming out in the late winter of 2016 I thought I would replay through Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. I purchased a used ps3 that is backwards compatible so that I could play the ps2 disks that I still had since I didn't know they released a remastered version for ps3. When I put the disks in the game ran, but I had to change all the setting on my TV to get it to take up the whole screen since it was back in the days of 4:3 aspect ratios. After taking a trip to Best Buy I noticed this game. Not only is it the same story line as the original, but the graphics are much better and they adapted it to run in the now standard 16:9 aspect ratio so it will take up your whole screen on TV. In addition to that it also comes with bonus games that were previously only available on Nintendo DS. If you are a Kingdom Hearts fan looking to replay the originals or trying to play the games you missed out on by not having a DS, then get this game. For only $20, you can't really beat it!

If you dont already know what Kingdom Hearts is, I truly feel sorry for you and highly reccomend this pack. It's a combo of two games, and the cut scenes and story from a third. The Kingdom Hearts series is a big impact series that has amassed a huge fandom and following with memorable characters both created just for the game and classics you know from not only Disney films but from Square Enix's Final Fantasy games.

Kingdom Hearts was a big part of my childhood so I was glad to see this PS2 classic come to the PS3. These are great games with lots of game play and the final mix version only makes it better. I highly recommend getting this and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 to prepare for Kingdom Hearts 3 coming out soon.

Mix 3 Kingdom Hearts games - AWSOME play!

Mix of Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories), & Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Love that Sora who lives on an island and regularly meets with friends Riku and Kairi return to go through the 3 adventures with me! Great replay! The new coat of paint of the games and the wide screen ratio breathes a fresh air into the White rabbit as he rushes into the screen to take you on your journey to save Sora. If you are new to Kingdom Hearts or a Returning player I highly recommend you journey down the rabbit hole. Made me want to go replay the games on my other consoles.

    Wonderful Remix

I played KH when it was first released and thought the world of this game. It was light hearted and tons of fun. It's full of memorable and recognizable characters that always make me smile. The gameplay in KH is great, very smooth and easy to pick up. However I just couldn't get used to the card system in Re: Chain of Memories. This was my first time playing a game that made you use cards to do battle. I found it rather annoying, not innovative. I'm more a fan of the old fashioned attack based systems typically used in Square's RPG's. Still, the game was enjoyable and it's nice to fill in the gaps between KH 1 and 2. Hopefully KH 2 is next on Square's chopping block for a remix.
