Customers are saying
Customers admire Kingdom Hearts III's smooth gameplay, engaging story, and visually appealing worlds. Many found the game fun and a good value for the price, also praising the music. However, some players felt the difficulty could be increased, and a few criticized the voice acting and the length of the cutscenes. Overall, the positive feedback on gameplay and story outweighs the negative comments on other aspects.

A Playable Story, for better or worse.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perhaps the nostalgia has worn off, or perhaps the creators have lost their touch. I’m not sure. Thirteen years later and this game was kind of just alright. It felt more like interactions between cut scenes more than anything else. The linear paths have returned, recreating a lack of exploration. With all the very beautiful designed Disney worlds, they’re all unnecessary in comparison to the actual story line and have no effect on the plot. My biggest complaints: The Toy Box, Toy Story's world, is a prime example of something that feels wrong about the game. Missing is Zorg or any other villain. In comes Square Enix with their own villains. The level is almost entirely custom to the game, borrowing very little from Toy Story itself. In Rapunzel's world, Kingdom of Corona, she goes from being a formidable companion to just a boring stationary NPC after her hair is cut. In Arandelle, with all her magical capabilities, Elsa isn't a fighter at all. She's barely in it. The final bosses of each world feel like they missed the point of their world's themselves. On top of that, the dialogue still doesn't translate as beautifully as it could given the right writers. Graphically, though, this is one gorgeous game. On the technical spectrum, also incredible. Every move lands right, and there's so much going on too. Also, the The Carribean, the Pirates world, is a breath of fresh air and great with it's ship battles. Overall, I'd give a 7/10. It concludes the story beautifully, but it's less of a game and more of a story with small bouts of game play in between.

Waited my whole childhood for this disappointment
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Huge fan of the series since I was a kid. Played KH1, KH: Birth by Sleep, KH: 358/2 Days, KH2, and KH:DDD as well as the short KH0.2: A Fragmentary Passage. A lot of these right before playing KH3, actually. The embarrassingly long overdue direct sequel disappointed me in so many ways. The combat is absolutely fun and the graphics are gorgeous. The level design is the best it has ever been, too. But that is just about all I can say they got right. The plot was terrible. It made little sense, and not because it was confusing (but it definitely is for newcomers), but because you really had to wonder what these characters were thinking during certain situations. The writing was stale and still just as corny. You would think they would have better writing for such a huge game, and after so many years in development. The game was also too easy! I played it on Proud Mode and got through the main game dying only a single time! By the time Square Enix released Critical mode, I had no interest in revisiting this title, even as a big fan. It was too little, too late. SQUARE ENIX and Tetsuya Nomura.... WHAT HAPPENED?! You take over 10 years to release both FFXV and KH3 and THEY:RE BOTH MEDIOCRE TITLES AT BEST! Highly disappointed in you guys. Shorter development cycles please, stronger writing, and give the people what they want. Even the final battle and ending was unsatisfying. I want to cry. P.S. Please don't shove more mediocre DLC down our throats :-(

A great game to conclude the trilogy.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sheer nostalgia of this game series triumphs a lot of the shortcomings (that I've so far noticed) of this game. Sora is still weirdly optimistic despite the grim circumstances, Donald & Goofy are still those friends that encourage him despite all odds, there's (even more!) button-mashing leeway than in Kingdom Hearts II, but the game is still managing to use its charm, updated graphics, and gorgeous set pieces to win us over.

Great game but was it worth the wait?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The gameplay for this game is very smooth and fluid and the graphics are nothing to complain about. Fans of the series however may be disappointed because the games doesn't quite live up to the hype the hiatus has created. Don't get me wrong its a great game but with its history of other Kingdom Hearts games it serves as just another entry in the series. Kingdom Hearts II is still superior to this on in my opinion. Like I said, don't get me wrong because this is still a fantastic game. I recommend.

Amazing for Fans of the Kingdom Hearts franchise
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game, without any spoilers, is easily one of the better games I've played this month, alongside other AAA titles. It's best played if you're familiar with ALL of the extensive lore between the games - you'll be a bit lost on what the characters talk about throughout the game, just like with their previous games, etc. That put aside, this definitely was worth the purchase. I wish there was a PC release, but I can settle.

Amazing Game that brings out a ton of Nostolgia
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is incredible. If you played the first two games of the series, you will be hit hard with a heavy dose of nostalgia that will have you missing work to fight alongside Donald and Goofy again. If this is your first Kingdom Hearts experience, you will not be disappointed. Every facet of the game has been improved upon and the updated engine and graphics will not disappoint. An essential game for owners of the PS4.

Love the Kingdom Hearts games
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have played all of the Kingdom Hearts games and 3 is as good as the previous versions. It is one of my go to games when I want to take a break from the multiplayer games I play. Kids and adults can all enjoy the game. I am looking forward to seeing how the next version plays on the Switch.

It’s freaking KH3!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If your a kingdom hearts fan then you probably have already played this game. It’s a great game in the franchise however if your new to the series it may be a little daunting. The story is very confusing especially for new comers. The gameplay is fantastic, the graphics and effects are extremely good looking, and the story is confusing but great if you have been following along through out the other games.

Beautiful Nostalgia
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I remember back when my whole immediate family lived under one roof when I was a kid and we’d all play the first Kingdom Hearts together and have endless fun. Now fast forward to adulthood and the release of this masterpiece. The memory of every laugh, every smile, every breathtaking scene and every tear have come flooding to the forefront of my mind and I can’t wait to dive deeper into this well of magic.

Good action rpg
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I played the original kingdom hearts when it first came out on ps2 and really enjoyed it. I did not play any of the others but this game is totally fine to play without knowledge of the rest of the series. I've heard the story is pretty complicated anyway so most people who played the games barely know whats going on. If you have ever played any of the games in the past and enjoyed them then this is for you.

A good ending to a long, convoluted story
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a story I started before I was legal to drink. My world has changed a lot, but thankfully this world really didn't. It was nice to see familiar faces, and controls are still familiar with the changes to the combat system since KH2. My kids have enjoyed this entire series and gave us something to bond over as we went through the first major title in this game since they were old enough to play games.

A great ending to a great series.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great game to close this chapter of Kingdom Hearts. It's been 13 years in the making but I believe it's worth it. Its all the great things you know from the series, polished up with new ideas on top of it. The worlds are much larger this time, which means a lesser amount of worlds to play through, but all in all, this game is the culmination of what the series has been building up to, and it's amazing.

3rd game in the long running kingdom hearts series
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's ok but the lack of ff characters from the first 2 games and more focus on Disney side is disappointing. Also knowing there was gonna be dlc you have to get going in is another negative. Low expectations since the game is a sequel to titles that came out on the ps2. Also sad that some of the voice actors passed away before this was released. Ultimately for under 20 it's worth playing to anyone who liked the series.

Its finally here!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just got done with the game and it's living up to every expectation and more! Might have taken longer than expected, but the graphics, story line, game play, special features, and even the tiny details are nothing short of a masterpiece. If you're a fan, you won’t need a review to tell you this - if your new to this series, this is a must buy but the first 2 are recommended to understand the story further.

A wonderfully gorgeous game, crafted with love.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a crazy good looking game, the worlds, lighting, and characters look absolutely fantastic! The game runs so buttery smooth you can see the work and time put in by the dev team, which makes you really appreciate the long wait for the game to come out. Great overall experience and I'd even recommend it to players new to the series as it has a "storybook" recap which helps get you caught up on the story.
