Customers are saying
Customers admire Kingdom Hearts III's smooth gameplay, engaging story, and visually appealing worlds. Many found the game fun and a good value for the price, also praising the music. However, some players felt the difficulty could be increased, and a few criticized the voice acting and the length of the cutscenes. Overall, the positive feedback on gameplay and story outweighs the negative comments on other aspects.

AMAZING
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've waited 13 years for this game to finally come out! It's here and it brings back all the nostalgia and memories. It's a fun game, and fans will not be disappointed. If you're new to the series, you best catch up with Kingdom Hearts: The Story So Far. Too bad that game is sold out everywhere and can't be found at Best Buy for some reason!

Just Awesome ............one of my favorite KH
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this game is the final stage for the darke seeker saga. and we been waiting for this for a while and it was worth the wait guys. this game got me crying at the end ...the disney worlds are amazing and the music is so catchy. worlds are big and open alot to do .... the game is not perfect has his flows but for me there minor stuff , like no FF charecters or some voice actors not speaking well i know why now but it ok i guess. this game is more for hardcore fans that has played all the previoues games newcombers will get lost so i recommend picking up the story so far with 1.5 2.5 2.8 ..

Disney worlds elevate a flawed fun game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Kingdom Hearts is really a PS2 franchise. 3 still has the weird gameplay quirks and camera issues from over a decade ago. But the gameplay is still fast, fun, and frenetic even if you can’t always see where you’re going. The story is also very complicated. This is over 10 years of side games, there’s time travel and alternate versions of characters, it’s a lot to catch up on and the game doesn’t do a great job of that. What makes up for that are all the Disney worlds. If you’re a Disney fan it’s still worth checking out. From Donald and Goofy to Hercules and Woody to Rapunzel and Baymax, exploring those worlds and spending time with those characters are still what set the series apart.

Disappointing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Considering the massive buildup to this thing, it's one of the biggest letdowns I've ever experienced.

A solid game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's playable and scratches that itch people get for wanting to collect things. Dialogue could use some work, but that's par for the series as a whole. If you've never played a Kingdom Hearts title and are starting with this game, the story's gonna be a bit confusing for you, but then this is expected even if you have played the previous ones and all the off-shoot releases. All that said, you don't really play these for ground-breaking gameplay or for a well developed story. You indulge in this series because it makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

AWEsome with a capital AWE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm loving every second of it and people are being drawn in and watching me play as if it is a movie. I've even had several asking me to play because they want to see how a certain part ends since as a working father of two I can only play as time allows. I love it to say the least. Challenged to frustration at times which isn't such a bad thing but once I advance it just makes it that much sweeter.

Decent ending to the series
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having been a KH fan since day 1, I was really looking forward to this game. It does a fine job of ending whatever this phase of the series may be, but the same problems that have plagued the past games are still present here; namely, terrible dialog, an absolutely incoherent plot, and a Gummi ship section I still couldn't care less about. However, the game is full of heart (ha!), and the combat is very fun. If you're a KH fan, you already know what to expect here.

Nostalgia at its finest
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I played the original KH. I bough a PS4 so I could play KH3. It did not disappoint. The graphics have unsurprisingly greatly improved over time. It was great to revisit this story and travel to the different mini-worlds. My personal favorite was Toy Story. I beat this game on normal without much difficulty. I look forward to replaying it on harder levels.

Great Game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Combat has been revamped, so you now have even more ways to smack around Heartless. Everything feels nice and fresh while also keeping the good aspects of the older games. Music is also excellent as always. Definitely something to check out, especially if you;ve been waiting over a decade like most of us have.

Worth the Wait (Mostly)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 2 years since "Fragmentary Passage", I felt goosebumps on the day I finally started playing "KH3", which came in perfect condition. Let me tell you; it's a lot of fun. My criticisms would be Proud Mode being too easy, lack of FF characters, and Hundred Acre Wood feeling empty for once. Other than that, the game is INSANE. Recommended.

A great experience.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Is this everything Kingdom Hearts fans have been waiting for? No, but it is still a great experience. The worlds are visually stunning. The Disney characters are fit in well into the story. The keyblade story can feel tough to really invest in and understand. Overall the gameplay is fun and I glad I finally got to play this.

A so-so installment. Wait for the Final Mix.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’d give Kingdom Hearts III a generous 5.5/10. Definitely wait for the Final Mix to come before buying this game as it’s like FF15, half completed and hella easy. Sure, KH3’s graphics and scenery are absolutely stunning. And sure, the music is absolutely amazing! However, beyond that, it is an honest let-down and disappointment in the story/plot, in character development, and in playability. It just feels rushed and uncompleted (ironic for a game 5 years in the making). For starters, Square Enix cut MANY things from the game. Tetsuya Nomura stated that there would be well over 90+ hours of content, when in actuality; it’s closer to 35 -45 hours of content. You literally spend 2/3's of the entire game traversing Disney worlds and goofing around which none of it matters in the slightest and doesn't really do anything at all to progress the plot or the characters (Note: you can clearly tell which worlds they spent far more time and resources on than others. Some worlds, only get one tiny little area). On that note, the worlds that people actually wanted to fully explore in all their 4K HD glory were basically reduced to just backgrounds for cut scenes and for the plot (Realm of Darkness, Land of Departure, Keyblade Graveyard, The World That Never Was, The Mysterious Tower, The Final World, Scala ad Caelum, and to a lesser extent, Twilight Town). Then, all the major plot points and major stuff happens quickly and almost back-to-back in the last 1/3 of the game. Before you know it, you're fighting the final boss out of the blue and the game is over. Heroes and Villains fly in and out of the story so quick that you just might miss them if you blink. The reunions of 1) Aqua, Ven, and Terra; and 2) Axel, Roxas, and Xion; are completely rushed and lack any substance or playability. Basically, those characters are brought back at the last minute for fan service and to make sense of the plot before moving on. Hell, don't even get me started on the characters. The dialogue exchange and voice acting is good in certain places, but is often just cringy and awkward. Many of the characters don’t even have much of a personality *ahem*…Kairi *ahem*. Speaking of which, the characters: Kairi, Lea, Riku, Aqua, Ventus, Terra, and King Mickey in KH3 are basically weak, useless, and need constant saving. The only exceptions to this are Roxas and Xion who will completely win the fight on their own and heal you without you (the player) having to do anything. In fact, the Disney characters in the worlds you visit are significantly more powerful than the KH3 characters are. Minigames are another problem. Minigames are supposed to be fun and enjoyable challenges that offer additional rewards when added to a game for optional playability. However, that's not the case when multiple minigames are pushed into the main story and are required to progress said story. Furthermore, Square Enix made the game insanely easy, even on hard mode. Fights required little-to-no planning or preparation. I never even died once on hard mode or had to retry an encounter. Going to attractions, I understand that attractions were supposed to be cool and epic, but not when you get like three prompts for an attraction every single bloody fight. It got annoying and boring rather quick. I only used the meals once, in the final battle. I didn’t even need to use the meals because everything was too easy. Lastly, the game mechanics are still clearly broken. You can still easily button-mash X/A to win the game. Also, a player can obtain 99 Moogle Post Cards within 1 hour for only 5,000 Munny; they can easily obtain level 99 within an hour; and they can easily and quickly get 999,999 Munny. *sighs* Look, it’s an okay game. It’s fine to like a game and it’s fine to dislike a game. There are many people who liked KH3 and many who didn’t. It has good and bad qualities. However, you do have to recognize and realize all of its flaws and shortcomings. Because many of us who are long-time hardcore KH fans and who grew up with the series will tell you, KH1 and KH2 are significantly better/longer than KH3.

great disney worlds
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is the conclusion to kingdom hearts there a 7 huge disney worlds to explore. in this game each world has taken me 6 hours to explore. if you do all side quest and collectables this game can be beat in about 80 hours if you do everything in game.

Great for a First Timer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I barely started playing this game and it's my first Kindom Hearts game. Was a little confuse at beginning, but it's easy to get into if you like Disney characters and enjoy crazy RPG action. Graphics are very cool looking and the action is beautiful!

Not bad but not good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not that bad considering that we've waited 10+ years for it but sometimes the worlds tend to drag on longer than they should and don't capture the vibe that the source material nor the Kingdom Hearts franchise itself used to give. I still kinda recommend it but probably get it on sale.

OK game, came a little bit late
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I played both KH 1/2 in my childhood and had fond memories of playing both of those games. They seemed quite hard at the time, but looking back it was probably just cause I was a child. This game came way too late for fans of the franchise and people new to it, I don't feel will enjoy it that much. The fact that Disney is a part of this game means that it is intended for children to play, which means the mechanics are super easy -- so easy a child can do it. I would say most of the fans of this game are playing it for the story line and Disney worlds, which was partly the original appeal of the game. However, I didn't enjoy this game as much as KH1/2 and probably would not have been happy if this was my first KH and I just bought it at full price.
