The graphics are gorgeous, the music is phenomenal, and gameplay if fun. Characters are lovable

Novelty of Disney and Square Enix characters is good for a bit of fun. So far the game seems extremely easy though...

Good game! Not as good as the first two, but fun and love the new graphics!

First off, I haven't played any of the kingdom hearts games up until this point, so consider that for my review. This game had the hype. My friends who were big kingdom heart fans had been talking fervently about this game for a year. Every month and week leading up to release I would get some breathless update on how this game is gonna be the best thing since sliced bread... So I bought the game on release. The reviews were good. And I had done my homework into the story line (there are many synopses online). But wow was I disappointed. The combat by itself is largely boring to actually do. You hit the same button repeatedly with the same combo, over and over and over and over again. Yes, the developers do spice up stuff by having these amusement ride combos cash-ins, and that's cool. But having just come from God of War, the combat mechanics in this game are a tier below. So I'm left with just a meh feeling. Writing and story. So everyone knows the writing is... Just weird. I'm not super invested in these characters, but I could see if you're a lifetime fan of the series, the character interactions might have some more weight for you. But as someone with no prior experience, the character interactions were awkward at best and dumbfounding at worst. I don't know if I should blame the translator, or the writer, so I'll blame both. Story is infamously convoluted, and I'll say it rings true here as well. All around, I would not say this game is worth full price of admission. $30 seems like a fair deal if you're just looking for a JRPG and don't have any experience with this game series.

This is one of the best Kindgom Hearts game. The graphics are amazing and love the new characters.

Would get a higher rating but the constant dipping in fps in sections is quite annoying other than that fantastic game highly recommend.

It is finally here and worth the wait as far as I can tell. Been playing every day and loving it!

Bought it for my nephew. He's into xbox1, a lot. He loved KH2 on my PS2 and "needed" KH3. Loves it and is obsessed with the series now. I would say its a solid purchase, if you've never played the KH series, don't be afraid to jump in now with KH3. You will have a blast. You're a gamer, so you the deal. It's a jrpg but not your average jrpg. And it's Kingdom Hearts, what's not to love?! Buy, play and enjoy!
